Good thing is he can get better at a couple of those. His physical limitations can’t be overcome which limits what we can do playcall wise. It’s up to the coaches to devise a plan to his strengths and work on the weaknesses. Let’s see how he progresses in week 2. Not overly confident but hopeful.

Agreed, and if he can fix 1,2 and 5 that would be huge in itself.

He's had 3 years to get better.

They did. And it still didn't work.

He doesn't really have poise in the pocket. His footwork is bad. He has tunnel vision. I hope to little baby Jesus that he improves, because otherwise we have to hope Linehan and E can develop two freshman, when LSU hasn't developed a QB for a long time.

Having a set of balls. That guy was scared to death when he was in the pocket.

Oh he can check down....that's what he did 90 percent of the day....especially the last drive.

He plays scared and timid.
Period.

It’s just crazy how this board turns on a player so fast...... some of you are the worst fans in the country.....

Blame who should be blamed.... the coaches.....

True but in my opinion you can’t truly learn by not playing. Practice versus games are different beasts. Don’t have to worry about getting hit and there is no real pressure. Those throws are probably money in practice.

I would add possibly the most damning one: -the ability to lead. He doesn’t have the intangibles. He displayed a weak, defeated body language all game.

You can’t scheme your way out of a lack of experience. This team will take its lumps, get better over the course of the year, and be much better positioned in 2021.

disagree. They were more than adequate. He could have audible out a bunch if he simply saw it.

Coaches have the responsibility to adapt the offense to the QB and abilities of the other players.

The option handoff does not work if the QB is not athletic enough to effectively run the ball.

I totally agree with all 5 of your points that you made
He is a total pocket passer and CANNOT pass on the run period
He also cannot run with the ball and is very slow when he does
ITS GOING TO BE A LONG SEASON FANS...those who opted out were very smart...
