Maybe losing to Florida was a positive?

I hated the loss. I always hate losing to them. No one thought we'd be getting to UGA undefeated, and we were close to doing that.

I think the Florida loss may have gotten the monkey off the team's back. I'd be willing to bet they come out hungry and ready to play some big boy football this weekend. I think our chances of winning have increased this weekend with the loss at Florida.

LSU by 7 over the pups.

The only positive is that we still control our destiny.

People keep parroting this as if it's a fact but as it stands now there are four undefeated teams who would have pretty good playoff resumes ranked ahead of us, (Ohio State, Clemson, Notre Dame, West Virginia) plus UCF who puts a political wrench in the rankings because of the National Champion drama from last year. If all five of those teams win out, it probably doesn't matter how much we beat Bama or Georgia, we'll be the first SEC team to ever be left out of the playoffs because we don't hold the same political clout those teams do at the moment.

We MAY control our own destiny if we win out but we still might need some help, even this early in the season. That Florida game was a serious setback whether we want to admit it as fans or not.

All the team can do now though is move on and kick some Dawg arse and hope and pray for the best

OP, serious question. Were you given participation trophies growing up?

Love the downvotes on this one too...

I guess you can't be positive, tiger fans. The only thing you can do is sit here and wait for the sky to fall.

You may be right. Just maybe they started reading about how good they were and lost focus. I think you'll see a very focused football team this week.

What's positive about being told for the second year in a row we needed to lose to get focused?

Man, I hope so, but I don't know if losing and hunger will fix the OL and DL.

You could not be more wrong. Theoretically, If we were to win out, we would have by far the most impressive resume in the country, bar none.

Would be 4 top 10 wins (with 2 being top 5), and potentially a few other top 25 wins (State/A&M)...

Wrong again. You know we play in the sec west right? Still control out destiny in the WEST.

Just trying to find a positive in a loss we have no control over now. The team didn't play well. I'd be willing to bet we come out swinging and focused this weekend.

Sorry a lot of y'all don't like a bit of optimism after a tough loss.

Plus a potential 5th top 10 win if Georgia doesn't drop a game before the SEC Champ. Obviously the likelihood of us winning all of these games are very slim to none, but I agree, if we win out, we're 100% no doubt in the playoffs.
