Finley has a much better deep ball passer than Max. Max is money on the short to intermediate middle of the field routes, but it's his ability to move the chains by running is what really sets him apart and makes him the best option.

Because he has a stronger arm, he can drive the ball deeper. Max throws an amazingly high deep ball, which I like. Very similar to R Wilson.

Finley was a true frosh too, with less coaching prior to arrival. Give him time.

I don't think he has the "time" here though unless Max and Brennan get hurt. Plus we have a very good freshman coming in next year. I believe his days at LSU are over.

Max throws very accurate passes on crossing routes 15 to 25 yards downfield. He hit Boutte multiple times in stride.

Max was very impressive down the stretch. He needs to build arm strength if he's going to take the starting job from Brennan.

I'm not saying he will, I am saying he still has opportunity. However, that's 100% on him.

Just Max. Finley doesn’t have it. He’s just a big, slow dude with a good arm. No idea how to use it though.

Eh. I think Finley will get out of this what he puts in to it. He's capable as long as he doesn't worry about anything other than what he needs to do to get better.

I still think it’s Brennan’s job to lose. He’s too accurate.

I'm sure ill get downvoted again, but he just doesn't seemed poised and composed to me. He's a great player, but that position needs to be a leader as well.

The pass he threw to jaray jenkins at the beginning of the florida game was elite level

Neithet brennan nor tj make that throw
Max has great touch and accuracy

I still think brennan will be the starter but will have to fight him off

Mobile lol, tell me what TJ can’t do that Max can, that dumb arse play calling is what hurt TJ and it was obvious enough to see. Yes we can say the mistakes as well, but Max made some dumb mistakes as well in games.

Let’s see how much weight TJ puts on over the next month with no bowl practices. Y’all just thought “Big Hongry” was slow on his feet. Weight is gonna be an issue for him.

Pretty much every intangible, and he can move much better.

Max has very good pocket presence, he’s been coached well before he arrived here. Finley just needs the coaching, and the reps.

The problem isn't his launch angle. It's his accuracy.

Max has a few things to work on, no doubt. But he’s got all the intangibles you need to win.

Exactly and that's the money throws. How many times are we going to be chunking the long ball with any quarterback? Max is the future right now....
