Why don't we go out and court Luke to be our offensive line coach. He did a very good job coaching the OL at Ole Miss, and he appears to be doing a good job coaching the OL at Georgia. He is a native of Gulfport. Show him the money and bring him on board. I am tired of watching poor technique and poor recruiting.

You know what Byrd, I would also consider Kevin. I assume that he is doing well at Arizona State and certainly should know what he is doing. What we do not know is how well can he teach it. Sometimes the great players do not turn out to be good coaches, because they cannot understand why players cannot do what he could easily do. I am all for it though.

Mawae is an analyst at Arizona State. He's not even the OL coach.

I doubt he would even get an interview if we had an opening, which we don't and likely won't.

Matt Luke wouldn’t leave Georgia to come here for the same role

For more money he would and should. Better program with better recruiting base and higher ceiling.

they actually haven't been great on the OL this year. Worst running game they've had in years. Their fans have not been thrilled with the job he's done

I understand our current coaching model requires us to overpay coordinators, but we have to overpay position coaches as well?

better recruiting base

LSU doesn't have a better recruiting base than Georgia. Georgia might have the best base in the country.

They could certainly afford to offer him whatever money we would offer him. Better program is debatable, especially at this moment in time. They’ve been a consistent top 5 program the previous several years. And Georgia has a very fertile recruiting base both in state and next door in Florida. It’s not a coincidence they’ve managed to have better classes than us the last several years. To that extent, idk how we have a higher ceiling than them either.
