So call me and everyone else that prefers Flynn a racist, it doesn't really matter. But people that live in glass houses should definitely refrain from throwing stones.
The only reason you had was that Flynn had a "better head for the game."
Sorry dude, but that's not a legit reason. So you are saying that Flynn had a better head for the game, but JR still managed to minimize his mistakes better than Flynn, capitalize on his opportunities more than Flynn, have the faith of the coaches more so than Flynn, and score the same on the Wonderlic as Flynn?
You have an opinion that has NOTHING of merit to back it up. If you LIKE Flynn more, that's one thing, but saying that he had a better head for the game can and will never be proven because everyone who can read a stat sheet and look at the record books plus two LSU coaching staffs disagree with you.

Matt Flynn was good but their is a reason why he was drafted in the 7th round and JR was drafted in the 1st.

JaMarcus was/is an idiot. He ironically was a victim of his own success. If he went to a team that could afford to sit him on the bench for a couple years and teach him (a la Aaron Rodgers) he would have a far better chance of being successful in the NFL.

im convinced people start threads like this to boost post count because they know if you start a thread "blank player" was/was not better than "blank player" that it'll be an instant 10+ pages.

And this is only applicable to Russell and not every other college QB coming into the NFL.

Not really, some QB's come out of college and they already have a work ethic for breaking down film. Those are usually the types that can hit the ground running.
All young QB's will struggle, the speed of the game is just so much different. Those that want to get better will be there in offseason looking at film, players, working with players.
I do not think sitting 2/3 years is ideal for all college QB's (for some yes)once they get into NFL. There is plenty of stories of guys coming straight from NFL to starting who have performed.

Those who think Flynn is better than Russell also think that Hester is better than any black RB we have.
Ok, Ok. JR was better than Jamie Howard. There.......now you can't use that tired old "You are racist" excuse anymore.

Oh, and Kevin Faulk was better than Sammy Martin. Now, all better.

Brohm was drfted in the second round. Did that make him a better Quarterback than Flynn.
Based on his NFL performance, if JR had been drafted in later rounds, without a guaranteed contract, do you think he would still be in the league?
