If you can't google an employment separation agreement to get a better understanding of what you think you understand, I can't help you. The legalities are there but what you mouth breathers refuse to purposely acknowledge is that LSU fired him.
You can all pretend that in the end that this was simply two parties decided to walk away and LSU got smoked and Canada laughs all the way to the bank with $1.7m.
