We didn't play with any pace. Overall stats are fool's gold. Yards per play/rush/pass are what you have the most control of as an offensive coordinator.

Well, he was only “forced” to because his entire pitch was bringing in an elite offensive mind in Kiffin (whom he knew wouldn’t take the gig) and then had to bring in a known commodity.

He obviously has personality issues, but even if O knew he would can him the second the year was over, he should have never messed with the offense for the Troy game like he did no matter how much of a butthole Canada was.
Canada seems to be feast or famine, but he actually did a really good job at Maryland last year in the worst of dumpster fire situations, increased their win total and was a bad 2-point conversion pass to a wide open WR in OT from beating Ohio State and going to a bowl.

Yes, as I said, he seems feast or famine. He's a mixed bag. And O admitted messing with the offense against Troy and said he shouldn't have done that. And the result was terrible.

He did. For one half of one game he demanded less presnap motion from the OLmen. The “meddling” has been grossly overstated here ever since.

That was the longest run that we've had in the history of the series against Bama. I'm serious. A fake jet-sweep QB run by an RB. Canada will always get credit for that one. He did a hell of a job with Gage and D. Williams.
