While we do support the team no matter what, we can not condone players who put themselves above the rest of the team by doing things that hurt the whole team. What if this was next week? We're lucky this is Auburn and I wouldn't be suprised if Auburn uses this a motivation and the game is really close.

Regardless.. They're LSU players and part of the LSU Team.. and major talent.. Everybody makes mistakes and you move on.

Since this is a support thread... I will say this I support LSU completely as a team but when you as a player take it upon yourself to put the whole team that you are a huge part of in jeapardy, its really hard to understand that selfishness. I support them to not be selfish and stupid. But is a few minutes of getting high worth throwing away a dream season. If being a champion is not what they want then I understand the actions but don't take the whole team down with you. This is why people are upset. I support LSU but I don't support actions that bring the team and coaching staff down to dealing with these issues when they should all concentrate on one game at a time till we are handed that Championship trophy... Not this Bullshite!!!!!

Yes... because that's what the real problem is, right? It's the FANS that are the bad guys here.

Not the popular players on the team who broke team rules and got themselves suspended.

Instead, let's blame people who had absolutely nothing to do with the incident itself... rather, they are only reacting to it.

How exactly do these players (and some of you fans) expect people to react to the news that players they admire won't be playing this Saturday because of disciplinary reasons, possibly drug-related?

Oh, it's okay, little buddy... everybody makes mistakes. Don't worry?

Actually, no. Everybody doesn't make that particular mistake. YOU made that particular mistake. Now YOU have to correct that behavior. It's on YOU. Not the people around you.

I and many others on this board don't hate these players. We're let down by them. It's embarassing. Does this mean we will never forgive them? Of course not. No one is perfect. But assigning blame away from Ware, Mathieu and Simon... and onto the fans is wrong and it's indicative of the greater problem of avoiding one's responsibilities for one's actions.

That's not a good trait for a football team to have.

I support the team and I know this won't derail their goals!

And when Ware, Simon, and Badger come back I'll cheer like hell for em. Same way I did for Jefferson.

These guys bring me my pride and joy on Saturday's and through the fall/winter months. Theres no reason not to have their back.

Some of you people are so stupid.

You sit here and make a thread about how much you "support" the team, all the while the only reason we are even having this discusiion is because 2-3 "teamates" decided to say frick the "team" Im going to do what I want to do... In the long run causing harm to the "team".

DO every other person that isnt niave a favor.
DOnt hide behind this whole team, I LOVE LSU, we are the frickin world, koombaya concept... say what you really mean, which they are startting players of this football team and you will justify anything they do, REGARDLESS if it hurts the team... bc in truth that is what these threads are all about.

fricking Pathetic.

I absolutely support this team and trust Les will handle his family issues. But, lets not forget they put themselves in this position......still no need to dogpile.

Fans overreaction is a large problem. In this thread alone u have people insulting the players.

Overreacting.

Of course u will forgive them. The second ware scores a TD, TM7 gets a turnover all will be forgiven.

Cause at the end of the day the sanctimonious attitude of the fan base, is cause these players hurt the team not because of some righteous belief in anti drug laws.

If all these outraged fans who think these players are nothing but "thugs" had the chance to flush that positive test down the toilet I bet 99% would have done so cause they are more worried about the team than the law or being anti drug.

Take that BS somewhere else. We can defend these players from overreacting fans wout it being an excuse for these players behavior.

They did something wrong, and they are being punished for it.

U say the only reason support for the 3 exists is bc they are starting football players, when we know that the only reason the condemnation exists is bc they are starting players.

If this was Rocky Duplessis or Ryan St julien 95% of the outrage wouldnt be on this board.

over reacting fans huh?
People who actually care more about the greater good of the team moreso than the individual actions of 2 or 3.

Ok bro... whatever you say.
