Wonder how this affects scholarship numbers

Everyone is getting an agent now and entering the draft. They're basically legalizing corruption and allowing every player to participate without consequence.
Bold strategy.
ETA: But baseball players still have to check their personal phones during super regionals to find out if they're drafted and aren't supposed to negotiate using an agent. frick the NCAA.

The biggest thing I think which coaches will hate is how the hell do you recruit when you could have half your team declare for the draft, then a few guys go undrafted then want to come back to school? How the heck do you assume that...signing days are well before the draft.

NCAA should allow FB players to come back if they don't sign with a NFL team. Player gets drafted in 5th. He decided not to sign. He come back to college.

This will be a colossal shite show.

They should only allow you to return if undrafted after your sophomore year. That way players would be less likely to leave after year one. Hopefully giving a little more continuity to College Bball.

Holy shite. To be a top 10 national recruit.
I'd be smashing poon at:
LSU
Georgia
Duke
UNC
Bama
UCLA
USC
Texas
Virginia
Villanova
Virginia
Michigan
Ohio State
Arizona
Arizona State

The only thing I agree with is allowing undrafted players to go back to school. The agent stuff stinks. Not only will the agents be a method to front cash to high profile players, the coaches now have to recruit the player, player's family, and the agent. The agent can play schools against each other to put up "more" for his player's services. This will be an epic failure, and only the big blueblood basketball schools will benefit.
How do you even enforce any of these rules? A joke

The agent thing just seems like an epic mistake. How the hell do you they think the NCAA can monitor that when they couldnt monitor it before? Allow more access just means it's easier to cheat now...and for schools to get REALLY friendly with agents even more.

college basketball is already a joke. It's AAA basketball and they are just coming out and saying it.

Common-sensical and long-overdue.

The new agency rule sucks. Whoever agent can offer the biggest perks for a player, a car, food for the player or his family, and cash to spend while in college gets his service. It will allow more corruptions in college basketball.

Why can't they just do baseball rules?
You can go pro out of high school, but if you don't, you have to play in college for 3 years. Or just 2 years.

Almost every baseball player that is considered draftable has an “advisor”. These guys are nothing more than agents working pro bono.
