Yes. And it's Emmert. He left to go to Washington where his family is from.

O'Keefe was "fired"....Emmert left on very good terms and was extremely well thought of...I think he is still a friend of LSU....

Nope. He left after Blanco was elected claiming that he supported the wrong person for Governor. Which is amusing considering the budget cuts at LSU.
People here grew tired of him. Not many people know this but there was a person on staff in his office that tended exclusively to the needs of his wife.....

Emmert left to go to the University of Washington after Blanco was elected LA governor & so higher education funding was going to be cut. Emmert wanted to bring LSU into the higher echelon of public universities. He needed a level of funding for LSU that he felt would not be there, so he left rather than fight a losing battle. NOBODY wanted to lose Emmert. He was responsible for hiring Saban & demanded excellence from all levels. LSU would be an even better institution now if Emmert had stayed.

Isn't it in the State Constitution that says that if you choose to make cuts, it can only be in higher education and health care?
