Trevor Lawrence is damn good, but to say he’s played better than Joe Burrow this year is absolutely absurd. Lawrence has some awful games this year.
Against Georgia Tech: 13/23 168 yards 1td/2int
Against North Carolina: 18/30 206 yards 1td/0 int
He was also unimpressive against A&M and Louisville. They play substantially inferior opponents and the almost lost one to that inferior opponent (North Carolina).
Again, Lawrence is a really, really good quarterback, but to say what he has done is more impressive than Burrow is simply absurd.

He even said something about Lawrence only playing in 3 4th quarters as if that doesn't completely prove the whole level of competition thing.

Numbers mean nothing to me because there are too many variables. For example, T Law has Travis Etienne who is averaging 9 yards a carry.
What matters to me most is winning in pressure moments. You cant deny Burrow has been his best in the biggest moments this year. On the flip side, T Law won a national championship as a freshman.
They are both likely going number in the NFL draft(thi year and next). I dont think its an insult to either on who is the best right now.

Yeah he knew how dumb it was to say that.

The bottom tier of the sec is on par with the top tier in the acc minus clemson. Cant ignore facts.

And Lawrence has two playoff wins.... Is he having a better year???? No way.
exactly, not even close statistically this year, i assume that's not what he's arguing. and if he is, its clearly not close why does anyone care?

This is a new low for you
And i really thought you could read. i said i wasn't agreeing with him. The stats clearly Burrow has had a much better year. How is that "hating" on LSU?
I am assuming the argument was in the context of like who would you take, who do you think is subjectively better and i do not find it outrageous or an insult for someone to pick Lawrence who has won a NC and never lost a college game. FTR I would take Burrow.
