Man I just don’t know about O and Pelini meshing

Rumors were O was about ready to kill Matt Canada. They are both hotheads. Just nervous about the potential hire and them getting into a pissing contest. But I trust O.

When Pelini was DC under Miles....everyone in the building LOVED him. He was great to be around and easy to work for. So I don’t know where y’all are getting this rash attitude stuff from when he’s a coordinator.

Just an odd hire if he comes on board. He’s sort of been an afterthought of sorts. It’s been nearly 13 years since he was at LSU. Just seems like a long time ago to bring him back now. I’d prefer to see someone younger who hasn’t previously coached at LSU.

You're questioning the coach that just went 15-0 w/the best single-season ever?
I think its time we all sit back and let the man run the show, he's earned it. If he wants Bo then, by all means, hire him.

Canada was only hired because O needed to bring in a big name to win favors, not because he was comfortable with the hire. Canada was the biggest name at the time. But they couldnt work together.
O isnt handicapped by that anymore. He put Coach E at OC and that's worked out fine. Him and Pelini know each other and if he feels they can work together then it's fine with me.
I think it's high time we start giving O some benefit of the doubt. No one was knocking down doors to hire Brady, Ensminger, Cregg, etc. O knows what he's doing. Hes earned a little faith by now dont you think?

Everyone in the building didn’t like Matt Canada not just O and it wasn’t because they are both hotheads. It was because O was trying to do his job and be a head coach looking out for his entire team and Matt Canada didn’t want to listen and do his own thing.

The problem with Les and Cam was that they were TOO friendly. OP said he is worried O and Pelini would butt heads.

man we fricking had the young prodigies in Aranda and Brady. These guys CHANGED the game. Were willing to adapt and were loved by the players... if we end up with Bo fricking Pelini I'm gonna be pretty pissed... I wont be pissed now because we just won the natty! and I refuse to let anything bring me down until week one....
However I think that will be a truly awful hire. frick the old guard of coaches. The get complacent and set in their ways. We can see what young guns that are hungry can do... what is Bo fricking hungry for.... NOTHING. But I trust O. But in my head that's a shite HIRE

O liked Aranda but didnt think he held the players feet to the fire enough! Remember O came after Aranda so he didnt gwt to choose his own DC as he knew he couldnt get rid of a guy that had good continuity with the D already and had recruited his players.
