We are now at the point in the draft where the team can cut you in camp and nobody really notices.

Maybe not in draft status, but it would have furthered his education and allowed him to possibly show out in a different scheme.

Who is advising these guys? It's crazy how the top WR prospect in the country 3 years ago has fallen this far.

Hopefully this tragedy will serve as an example to future Tigers thinking of bolting LSU too early. We've been hurt by early departures more than any other program in the country over the past 10 years!

Watch Chark make an impact and become a top three round pick. MD has more of a chance coaching HS in the next 4 years than being on a roster. The higher the draft pick you are, the more secure your future in the NFL is with a team. Teams are more likely to keep a 5 or 6th ronder over an undrafted free agent if the talent is similar. Once you are out of the league it is hard to get back in. Yes they have some stories but that is the excpetion not the norm.

He's too skinny, he has trouble getting off man coverage, he runs undisciplined routes, he takes plays off, he drops balls. He was counting on everybody overlooking that because he makes circus catches and is tall and fast. It's a cautionary tale at this point, and one that Coach O will use to his advantage in the future. That said, he's a value pick at this point, as is Godchaux.

It was pretty obvious to most back in January.

I know what point you're trying to make but plenty of LSU WRs have gone to the NFL under Les. Sometimes the player shares in the blame.

I never got the impression he loved football; at least not in the way Odell or Jarvis did. He never seemed wholly committed.

A lot of stupid in this thread

Legit sauces: Dupre received a second round grade.

Les didn't tell him to declare. And Les coached many NFL WRs. Dupre's shortcomings are primarily his own.

I just think this impressionable kid got some bad advice from people that are supposed to be looking out for his best interests.

I still think he gets drafted. If this guy works really hard, puts on about 20 lbs, he can play in the NFL but it's going to be tough sledding from here on out.

Yeah because no wrs ever shined or got drafted high comimg from lsu.

The coaches werent out there NOT high pointing the ball.
The coaches weren't out there leaning in and out of their breaks telegraphing their routes.
The coaches werent out there struggling with their hands for 3 years.
