Malachi Dupre concerns

According to some other sources on other sites, some of the football team is starting to wonder if malachi is soft. He has been out for some time with a hamstring issue. All the rave reviews he was getting are now going away. Hopefully he can get to 100% and be a 5 star player for the tigers.

Hamstrings can be tough to heal. Give it time. I'd rather him be 100% than try to play hurt and be out for the rest of the season.

Wasn't he supposed to be back to practice yesterday? Les said he would participate in the scrimmage today.

I hope so. I personally want to see the kid start from day 1 and be another great receiver for LSU.

Wasn't he out with a shoulder issue a few weeks ago??
And as previously mentioned, hammy issues are tricky. Come back too soon, you injure it worse. Better to be safe with a hammy than put him back out there before he's 100% because you most likely will make it worse than before.
And I seriously doubt players think he's soft... Posters on a message board probably said that. But doubt players did. And the rave reviews have stopped because he's been hurt and not practicing. When he does practice, he looks great.
Not worried about Dupre being "soft" or not being a stud WR. Because he is a stud WR. And don't want him being pushed to play / practice before he's back to 100%

Soft is taking yourself out of game/scrimmage/practice because of a bruise or calling for a sub after a lame hit. It is not strains, pulls, or tears... especially as a WR.
And you don't want to rush a hamstring and turn it into something more permanent (assuming no tear as of now).
He is a freshman, with a relatively inexperienced QB (no matter which one starts), it's ok to bring him along slowly. WR's get beat up pretty bad having him tuned up and healthy come Oct & Nov might prove more valuable.

Sooo..Odell Beckham is soft, too? He has missed a lot of time with the Giants for a hamstring issue.
Do you think other FOOTBALL players do not understand that a guy that relies on SPEED and LEAPING ability has to let a hamstring heal?
silliness.
Dupre is NOT "soft". No one on the team thinks he is.

This is straight ignorant

Yeah, the kid has been getting a lot of praise for his blocking(ahead of the game from the program he came from), I don't think the "soft" term will ever apply to Malachi...

Seriously? Get out of here with this BS. god damn chicken littles everywhere.
Injuries happen it's football. Dupre was in an offensive scheme where he spent most of his time blocking. He will be great for LSU.

Ponamsky on BBI reported that sources on the team and staff were beginning to wonder about the injury and Dupre's toughness. We aren't talking about message board posters here. DP is juiced in and most of y'all know that.
He's also the LAST guy that covers this team that would go negative. Him doing so in regards to Dupre is concerning.
You guys should hold off on shooting the messenger until you ensure you understand the message.

I don't think he is nor do any posters on the other site you jackass. The Prince said this on his site that's what I was referring too. If you don't like this conversation don't chime in with your stupidity.

I would like to think Ponamksy has good sources but maybe he doesn't.

The only concern I have about Dupre is how LSU is going to handle TWO Heisman campaigns simultaneously?

Thank you. Most people that post on this site overlook the message to jump on someone's arse for no reason without understanding a thing that was said.

I don't expect Dupree to bring much to the table this year regardless of whether he is "soft" or not. While he is an incredible athlete, I think he is just very raw as a WR. IMO his impact will be limited almost exclusively to "go" or "9" routes (whatever you choose to call them). Of the two big time Fr. WR brought in, Quinn seems much more polished and ready to make plays from day one.

Get your bad mouthing bs out of here.

I bet the coaches wanted Ponamsky to leak this to light a little fire under Dupree's arse. He had to know this would be the talk of the town.
