Malachi and Tyron

I know the rant is still in Catastrophe Mode, but seeing as how we actually have a game to talk about now, I figured I'd mention how excited I am to see these two work as our top options for the bowl.
As sad as it was to see Dural get hurt, it will be interesting to see how his absence will change the approach in the bowl game.
A lot of us get frustrated with the lack of an intermediate and short passing game, but with Dural as our #1 receiver it really made more sense to focus on his ability to stretch the field and go over the top with play action.
Playing without him will force the offense to work more underneath where a guy like Tyron, Diarse, and even Quinn seem to be more suited while Malachi works the intermediate and deeper routes.
Of course, the QB has to be able to complete those shorter routes when called, but seeing an athlete like Tyron getting the ball in space is something that should be a lot of fun. And there will be a lot more passes to go his way without Dural getting the looks he understandably does.
Looking forward to this matchup. Much more exciting than a matchup with any of the Big 10 or ACC teams we had a chance to see imo.

On any other team this would be one of the best WR combos in CFB next year

didn't we just see how this worked against A&M?

T will not be leaving the backfield, mate.

Yeah with just a few practices to work on it.
Maybe one of the reasons Harris looked to out of sync.
It will be nice to see the full bowl prep and how the team looks after preparing knowing that Dural isn't going to be there getting #1 looks.

have you seen TT run defense stats? I just don't see the passing game getting much work

In my only defense of Cam, EVER, I will say that the deep ball is the only pass that Harris has shown he can throw with any sort of consistency all season.

Harris doesn't throw that well of a deep ball and that's saying something. Jennings had a better deep ball.

Diarse couldn't catch AIDS in North Africa

Yeah we'll definitely see a heavy dose of LF, DW, and Guice, and rightfully so.
But we will pass 20 or so times at a minimum I would think. And may need more if Tech starts scoring.
But even if it's a run heavy attack, those two can make a big play at any point. I just want to see what they look like as 1 and 2, especially since there is a chance Dural may turn pro, although the injury certainly may have changed that likelihood

Ehhh.... I would agree with you, but I think with the warmth under Les and Cam, we will more than likely see the playbook "open" somewhat. It will be pointless, because the open playbook will never see the light of day during the regular season.... Also, don't get me wrong....we will still be run heavy this game.

Fair enough... now, what can you provide to dismiss his statement???? Diarse didn't/couldn't catch jack shite this year.
