Best friend is a law professor at wake forest. Smoked more pot then you could imagine. I don't smoke that stuff anymore...some rules are just hard to enforce. I think it's bullshite...that's my opinion.

it may be bullshite, but it's not like the athletes are left in the dark about the policies

they know the consequences and do it anyways

You sure about that? Everyone? Everyone????

Seriously? Come on chop. You know I'm exaggerating...lots do though and the school doesn't test them...not even the ones with a free ride. They should test EVERYONE on scholarship then. How about random test for every student? That shite wouldn't fly right? No sir.

Preface: I don't think RR issue is anything about smoking weed

But...

It's not about legality. (It IS illegal though)

It's not illegal to smoke cigarettes, but it's against team rules. Smoking weed doesn't make one a better football player, and being high makes one a worse football player. So it's simply against team (and NCAA) rules. Period.

I agree with your point dreaux...I'm just saying it's laid out really simple for the athletes, fair or not, you are risking your eligibility and playing time if you choose to do it and they do it anyways...almost like a slap in the face to the team

I'm way more worried about Robinson than I am about Dupre.

Robinson is curious and worrisome.

Dupre has hamstring issues. He may be shut down.

For realz? Punishment for spring and summer grade issues happen in the spring and summer. The grades angle is a very far reach.

Home Page official. Good thing Wisonsin has arse for WR's. Hopefully he learns from whatever he did and is ready to get things back on track. Too much promise to continue to make mistakes like this.

What I have heard is that he isn't ineligible. He had to take some intercession classes to make up some work, but in the process, missed time in fall camp. And Jalen Collins took advantage. TIFWIW.

Les Miles is just punishing him for bad grades and he will most likely play

Athletes at this level don't get punished for bad grades. You're either academically eligible or you're not. Not traveling w/ the team smacks of something a little bigger than missing classes.
