He does not need all of the excessive dribbling that Waters seems to need.

The offense would run better. Waters should be coming off the bench tbh

Waters lacks:

Leadership
Decision making
Shot selection
Energy
Urgency

Watch Chris Paul play PG. he’s directing guys, telling them where to be & what to expect from them. He’s alert & always in the game on both ends. Only had 1 gear

For all the LSU fans that got on Ben Simmons, it’s crazy how Waters never catches flack. The kid has talent but is not the guy you go places with as your main guy. Smart will emerge as the season goes on, you can already see it. On a winning team Waters is best served coming off the bench

I figure he and Mays will get the ball more down the stretch trying to finish games. Tremont hit the wall real early this year. But the wall is real for him.

Javonte is a sloppy/ akward ball-handler if you actually watch him but he just knows how to score flat out.. waters is still more reliable at the point, even with that whatever the hell performance today

I kept asking myself why Snart was not touching the ball on the last few possessions after being mostly responsible along with the defense of Williams for the 9 point lead.

Not sure the cause of the lack of scoring the last few possessions, but Smart rarely touched the ball.

Last year would have been much much worse without Waters’ leadership.

He wasn't good last year. Absolutely putrid in SEC play for sure.

I sad as much in another thread.

For today, smart was a better option to handle the ball in our offense, particularly down the stretch. We built the 9-point lead specifically because of smart’s ability to shoot inside the lane over defenders and pass to the open guy.

Tremont was a turnover machine today and particularly when he tried to drive. I also want Skylar Mays on the line late in a game.
