Watched the whole video. Don't care. And I am not a huge Mainieri fan. He looked like losing that game really hurt.

Pm answers the questions in the post game pressers honestly. Thats what he felt costed us and its hard to argue with. Me personally I would deflect blame from my college kid players, butI do not have a problem with him saying what he feels is honest.

Sounds like he’s telling the truth. Kid had a rough inning, it ended up costing LSU the game. Lord you people are soft with this “Paul throwing people under the bus”.

Are you faulting CPM for not putting Hess in the game yesterday?

Yes. Fontenot had been off for some time. Hess was much more likely to put up a zero.

Starting has given him more stamina, and he could have easily gone a couple of innings in full WT form.

It would not have come down to this IF....we didn't have so many errors and such poor third base coaching... base running errors....SMITH could have easily scored....that cost us the game....

The coaching staff thought otherwise and most rational fans understand

It would have been wrong to put him back out there

If he had put Hess back out there, the same fans would be calling for CPM to be fired because he’s trying to destroy this kid’s arm. It’s a lose-lose for CPM; no matter what he does, certain posters here will claim he should be fired for not doing the opposite.

If Pawl could coach half as adeptly as he throws his players under the bus, he’d have put more trophies in the case than he has. He’s had a CDL since he started. It’s never his fault, or his coaches fault, always those damn players keep messing up his enjoyment of the games.

it is what it is. He 2 appearances prior he made it too close than what it needed to be.
it finally caught up with him. he DID cost us the game

Stamina doesn’t have much to do with recovery time from pitching 55 pitches two day prior.

If the argument is Hess was throwing 4 innings and was at 55 pitches and they chose to put Fontenot in for 1 inning instead of pitching Hess a 5th then stamina would come into play.

You are asking Hess to warm up a fatigued arm. That is exactly how you get major injuries. People are already blaming CPM for injuries to pitchers when he gives them 6 days rest between outings.

I'd rather this than to give a bunch of fluff and pretend that we just got outplayed.

That is one of the most dishonest assertions.
Have you watched any LSU baseball games this season?

So we lose a game 19-15 and he blames one player? Pretty low blow by CPM.

What about 99% of other coaches behind PM in that dept? Do they need to throw players under the bus more often ?
