And for those saying "it's the truth", of course it is. That's not the point. A coach shouldn't be publicly saying shite like this to the press about amateur athletes. He can make his mind known by his actions in the offseason (cutting and recruiting).

He stated this on TV Baton Rouge. I think some of these guys will throw PM under the bus just like he is doing them. PM will be gone in two to three years. He won a National Title with Smokes players. He may be right about the talent but the buck stops with him at his front door.

Agreed, but I think it would have been better if he'd said made this admission to a meeting of major TAF donors rather than to the general public.

Sarcasm will take you far. It's been blatantly obvious that the talent is way down. Pitching is improved from last year, but there are 4 positions that need massive upgrading, both at the plate and with the leather. A blind hog could find a way to generate a run over 22 innings against a very average Bama team.
