Not as dumb as you think.
Paul from 2008-2017 went to 5 CWS, won 4 SEC Titles, won 6 SEC Tournaments, and won 1 National Title, and was national runner up once.

The sec is so much better than it was in the 2000s

Jay is a very good to great coach. Paul in his prime was a good to great coach in a different era.
I believe the portal has changed the game so making their successes unable to be compared on a level plane.
I’ll take Paul during his era. This may be too much revisionist history but I believe Jay plays matchups too much. Sometimes taking out a hot arm or a hot bat for matchups.
Paul was dominant for a long time. Jay’s best is yet to come I hope.

From 2008-2017:
2009 LSU National Champions
2010-2012 So Carolina back to back national champions and CWS Finals runner up
2013 Miss State CWS runner up
2014 Vandy CWS champs
2015 Vandy CWS runner up
2017 Florida National champs
Yeah, the SEC sucked during Paul’s prime. lol

One NC doesn't make you a great coach. Ask Chris Lemonis. Johnson still has a lot to prove.

This fan base deserves Smoke Laval.

If you fers think Jay isn’t better than PM you are stupid.PM can’t hold Jays jock. Jay is a relentless recruiter and a great coach.PM let stony brook beat us at the box and recruited 4’11players and rarely had any great power.Jays guys are in a hitting slump but he’s not going to sit on his hands like PM did his last few years.

I didn’t say it sucked but the conference is way deeper.

Not sure that matters when we are comparing super regional and CWS appearances

Don't look now, but we're back to small ball players again. Jones is the only one with double digit HRs.

You not tired of getting dunked on yet? Where did you watch sheerin pitch again?
Posted on 5/4/25 at 6:34 pm to josh336
Watched west coast games on ESPN+. You should try it.

Plus, I couldn't care less what you think.

State baseball has a real chance of becoming Nebraska football.
