after watching this weekend we need to have Breaux, Fraley and Duplantis in the OF it makes us better defensively. I think Beau Jordan needs to DH and with the way Diechman has been struggling he needs to platoon Diechman and Bryce Jordan at 1B. Let Diechman hit against RHs and let Bryce hit against LHs if one of them gets hot give all the ABs to him. If he makes this move I think we can make a run.

If Renn has suddenly become competent at the plate, he will get plenty more chances. If it was a function of playing against Arkansas, we'll soon know.

Even though your post is just stating an opinion based on observations you have made as a fan and bear no weight on the actual game and its coaches, get ready for Gray Tiger to pop in and ask you how many games you've coached.

brennan will probably see more action after this weekend

he'll get his chances against notre dame and we can see how he continues...he's certainly a better defender

Glad to see BB6 have a good run, hopes he keeps it up, he is dedinetely an upgrade defensively...think our pitching staff is going to see some much needed changes also...I liked the idea of Hilbert starting, he certainly isn't a closer at this point in his career...I also would like to to Smith start, but I bet Bain gets the Saturday start against Tenn...Poche & Valk are both pitching against ND this week, so, that a good indicator CPM has seen enough of them on the weekend this season...it will only help the team as it goes into post season play...

Nope....Poche is scheduled to start game 2 at Tennessee.

Do I have to be exact with Gray Tiger or can I give a well educated guess?

Shows what I know, I guess I didn't hear CPM say that Poche was pitching Wednesday evening against ND last nite during his post game interview and just assumed that he would not start him on 2 days rest...my bad...

That was the defensive lineup we employed Sunday.

He did Sunday.

I think that's a good suggestion.

Deichmann needs to be at 1st. We saw what happens with him out. He's been playing well in the field and has a powerful bat

That's right, you didn't hear him say that. I listened to his post game show yesterday, too.

What he said was he plans on using Poche for maybe one inning in relief TUESDAY night.

Not sure Johnny Whole Staff can start two days in a row on an SEC weekend. Unless Poche shakes his problems, things could get ugly. I have zero confidence in the bullpen to throw strikes.

Educated guesses are welcome. The emphasis being on the education part and not the guess part.

That latter is what trips up so many posers. It is interesting to read how defensive some are when I expose their ignorance.

they seem to be trending up. keep your fingers crossed. confidence is something missing in LSU fans and most likely PM and Dunn also (not to mention the pitchers themselves)

The only person whose ignorance you expose is the guy who looks back at you from your bathroom mirror.

What was overlooked in the opossum hysteria game were Austin Bain (5.40 ERA) and Riley Smith (16.20 ERA), who each threw 2 innings of shut out ball (5 Ks between them).

Those guys had not been effective at all this year. When Mainieri put them in, I thought he had conceded the game and was keeping other relievers fresh for Sunday.

Yet those 4 innings kept us in the game for the comeback win.

Well then good cause I consider my self well educated in baseball since I have played in over 300 games including little league, high school, college and over 30 league. Plus with 6 kids that all play ball I have coached in over 500 games that they participated in although I was only head coach in probably 80% of those 500 games.

I have seen the bullpen string together some good innings but then shite the bed in the next game. If they start will some consistency I will start to get excited until then I am not getting my hopes up. I was excited about Bain when the season started it seemed he was going to contend for the Sunday starter but he like the rest of the pen has lacked consistency throwing strikes.

Fingers crossed Saturday and Sunday are a sign of things to come.

Don't let them bring you down, baseball is a great sport for fans to play manager during and after games.

Many decisions are 50/50, and thus there are no "right answers" sometimes.

For instance it's cool how when a team bunts a guy down to second, and it works the team at bat is clapping and the fans of the team in the field or clapping. Both sides are happy with the result of the play. Why is that?
