The exception not the rule. I'll defer to the rule on this one. Drastic improvement will be needed to go in the Top 10 rounds.

So you don't think there are many pitchers who get drafted in the top 20 rounds who don't throw 90 plus?

If he shows the command and devastating breaking stuff from his freshman year, he'll get drafted high enough to leave.

There are a few but they are not right-handed. Ott was consistently 85-87 last year.

top 20 rounds and top 10 are 2 different animals.
I think it is pretty safe to say he is a top 20 round prospect at this point.

Did he gain velocity over summer ball and regain some of his command?

One of the greatest pitchers of all time being mentioned as a comparison in this thread is

"at the moment" is accurate, but players are moving up and down as we speak. The baseball sites (PG included) only give a guess based on the last time someone was seen.. alot can change in the 8 months from Jupiter to the June draft.

You are the one acting like Mr Scout. You should know this, AM I RITE?

Purke is not eligible for the draft; therefore, this mock is total garbage

he is a draft eligible sophmore because of his age.

umm, you do know that it's also an age thing and not just years removed from high school right?

there is a cut off date to where if you turn 21 before the date, you are draft eligible regardless of class.
Mike Fontenot did that.
DJ Lemahieu too i think

You are also eligible if you turn 20 or 21 within 45 days of the draft, even if that is in your soph year. Gibbs missed it by like 3 days his sophomore year. Draft eligible sophomores are becoming increasingly common. Older kids can still go play college ball and not sacrifice a lot of bargaining power.
