Careful... she's still just a high school kid. Did she play a part? Possibly. For his sake, I hope not. He's way too young to be making these big decisions based on a relationship.

The schools are at the hands of the coaches and players. Coaches can leave at any moment as can players. There are some rules that could "punish" players for transferring, but they're few and far between. But the players get screwed when it comes scholarships (their only compensation). And 97% of baseball coaches hardly make any real money either. There isn't anything the NCAA can do.

All the excitement at the signing deadline for nothing. Marshall just became the cautionary tale for future draftees: "Don't get too excited about this guy yet, remember, Mac Marshall left us for JUCO." Such a stupid loophole that bit us in the butt.

I'm leaning towards this. How many lies did he tell Mainieri just to boost his draft pay? It's really not fair to the college coaches.

Isn't it always amazing how quickly these kids find another school... wonder if he had someone helping him. Apparently, the same day he told LSU, he also had another school lined up that he'll be at next week. How the hell does that happen without anyone noticing? So I guess he's not worried about his grades this year since he'll be gone in 8 months. Probably won't even go to classes next semester.
