I don’t wanna start a new thread on this.

And I also want to send condolences to Mac, but how is he able to transfer out of LSU and into a power five school without following the portal rules?

He was not inside of any spring or winter window.

I had no clue. Thank you.

I will also state my ignorance and other thoughts on this

I still thought you had to transfer within the windows even to be a walk on. I will also say that just because you walk on at Nebraska doesn’t mean you don’t get paid by NIL. So scholarship or not, the guy can get paid. Unless no scholarship means no NIL. I can’t keep up anymore.

, but this is all, getting out of control that a guy can transfer out of the program during fall practice and go to somebody else in one week.

Nobody ever said he was eligible.
He can practice, but maybe was going to sit out a year

Feel bad for Markway, hope he recovers quick. Rooting for that kid.

On a side note, does anyone understand how he was able to join the team so quick after leaving BR? Are there any rules at all anymore? IT'S THUNDERDOME!!!

He left LSU and went to Nebraska as a walk on. Basically some people think he was tampered with.

So schools don't even care to adhere to the portal rules anymore, this kid was still on our roster a month ago and already tearing ACLs at another ranked school. The NCAA might as well just dig their own hole and bury themselves at this point, they're powerless

I think as medical technology evolves, we will find out how to determine the exact state of guys before these injuries.

Wouldn’t shock me to learn that almost all torn ligaments (from non contact) were ticking time bombs

I mean it wouldn't surprise me if they could do that now. But what would that mean, doing weekly MRI's? They aren't going to do that for an entire team.

He was a walk on. He transferred before the school year started and paid his own way. Even if he got NIL money to go there, he would have had to be academically eligible to play. You can't just jump midway through the semester.
