Just mean Pimp’s development and Greens impact both passed him on the depth chart.

Have never understood this move, so you got passed up, big whoop.
Practice, get better, stand on the sideline, transfer when the season is over.
It's weak to quit on your team, even if you aren't getting playing time. It's a soft mindset.
ETA this is assuming he doesn't have some injury he needs surgery for or something

This is weird to me. He played a ton as a freshman and filled a role that the others in that TE group don't do as well (inline blocking).
I'm guessing he and Nagle weren't meshing.

Pimpton has to have improved his inline blocking for this to happen. Which is awesome, b/c then we can be very flexible with personnel and formations.

For those just thinking this is about depth chart, we only have 3 scholarship TEs now with 1 being a true freshman and Markway was always going to play a bunch as a blocking TE at the very least even with Pimpton and Green. Pimpton and Green arent exactly the blocking TE types.
Also makes zero sense to just quit the team even if he is going to transfer, its not like he can transfer anywhere right now, he has to wait till after the season is over. Something else gotta be going on here.

That’s what figured, but wouldn’t he know that during spring ball? I guess some guys think they can go through summer workouts & things might be different in training camp, but I don’t understand the timing. Can he even enter transfer portal?

Impossible to keep depth anywhere in today's college football. Just when you think you've got a strong TE room someone quits on their team because of a hurt pussy.
