Mac Jones vs Myles Brennan

I really don't understand why all these publications think Mac Jones is so good but are unsure of Myles. Same for Alabama vs LSU overall.
MB was higher rated by few hundred spots coming out of HS. He's bigger and has a stronger arm. Yet so many people have MJ ranked higher. And it seems this is a major reason why those same people have Bama ranked ahead of us.
We're literally in the same boat with respect to returning players. Both teams lost a stud QB. Both teams lost stub WRs (Bama 2 to LSU 1). Both lost key defensive players as well. And BOTH also return a lot on both sides of the ball. Honestly, putting bias aside, I think LSU has more returning talent than the gumps.
So given that MB was projected by pretty much everyone to be a better college QB than MJ, where is their advantage coming from? And why do they and Georgia (who also lost a lot AND return a lot of talent) get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to reloading but its always a "wait and see" approach for the Tigers? I'll hang up and listen...

It starts with the fact they have actually seen Mac Jones play in games during meaningful times.
Also, hate Alabama and Nick Saban all you want but they have earned the benefit of the doubt when it comes to losing players and reloading. LSU has to prove they can do it before they get that level.

Mac Jones threw for 6 touchdowns against Auburn!
Two just happened to be to the other team, but still!

They have the exact same heisman odds at MGM at least so it seems Vegas thinks it’s pretty even

Its not about Bama hate. I agree they have a track record. But alot of that is based on their recruiting for which we also do well with.
I mentioned Georgia too when it comes to reloading and they haven't earned anything.
Also, people gave Kyler Murray the benefit of the doubt when it came to following Mayfield and he had only played mop up duty too. So why not MB after JB?

After MB shreds Texas the narrative will change

Kyler started a couple of games, like Mac Jones. Brennan will earn his due quickly, but people want to see it first.

97/141 1503 yards 14 TD 3 INT
He’s proven himself
Brennan has not

I like Myles he definitely is a leader and a sharp Dude. Saying that I wanna see he has the ability to put some touch on screens and intermediate throws that people can catch and I’ll be completely sold.

Who cares. Doubt us again. Doubt us every time. All that matters is what happens on the field. The rest is nothing but talk that affects nothing.

Jones has started a handful of games, Brennan has not. There's also the question mark around whether 2019 was a Brady/Burrow outlier or whether it can be recreated in their absence.
There's just a lot of uncertainty surrounding Brennan and how good this offense will be. If we get a couple games into 2020 and it's the same style offense that's still humming, you'll start hearing more about Brennan

Well one started two big games and the other hasn’t
Also when is the last time Alabama didn’t get competent QB play? People tend to look at track records and despite last season, we don’t have a great long one in terms of developing QBs

Auburn game last season.

335 yards and 4 TD is competent, despite the turnovers

Plus I like to see that stupid look on their faces when they are wrong. Not to mention all of the excuses that follows.

Barely seeing Brennan play meaningful football seems like a valid excuse

Bravo!
Let’s not forget the 2nd half of MSU game after Tuna got finished off in the 2-min drill
1. Whopping 3 points scored vs MSU
Did anyone see the second half on this!
2. Beat Celler Dweller West Carolina Catamounts were a 105th ranked team
3. 6 TD passes vs AU (2 to Auburn lol)
4. A lame showing for 3.5 Qtrs vs Mich.
Bama led 21-16 late in 4th with Mich ready to retake the lead before an interception saved Jones arse vs # 13 Mich
Meanwhile Brennan walked in after #4 OK scored to make it 56-28 to lead a perfect finishing drive of 9-Plays 75 yds throwing 3 Dimes (2 under pressure) and killing clock to eat up almost 6 mins ...
Yet the idiots say this wasn’t MEANINGFUL!
