These teams are virtual mirror images on Offense and Defense. The major difference between them is LSU's special teams is better. This is why I'm always a little surprised that Bama gets so much more love from the talking heads. Whatever.

You can't put LSU's passing game in the same bucket. AJ is not a great passer but he's a lot better than JJ or JL. LSU is ranked 105 in yards/game out of 120. That's terrible. Bama's not great but not that bad at 72.

Defense is close but we're still significantly higher. In SEC only stats Bama is #1 and LSU #2 but yards allowed are 180 vs 224 which quite a large difference for a 1 and 2.

You have a great punter who can flip the field but the real difference in net punting

So why should we even show up then it sounds like we have no shot on 1/09

Hilliard could get to TRich's level, but at this point we don't know. To assume he will is being a homer.
than count me in as a homer, you might as well go on and bend over for Trent Richardson, you're all over his cock. Are you an LSU fan? I sure hope not. To try and downplay this kids emerging talent is assinine, the kid is having an impact as a true frosh and on a team loaded with running backs. Ware and Ford look to be the mainstays early in the season, but because of the emerging talents of Hilliard and Blue, most notably Hilliard, they've taken Ware and Ford out of the game some. Trent Richardson has developed himself into a pretty good RB no doubt. but he had to develop is the key word himself.

this kid Hilliard has the family pedigree, tremendous size, bigger than Uncle Dalty who was a good back when he was in the NFL. With that tremendous size, he has unordinary fast feet, can change gears, run you over if need be, and hasn't been used nearly enough, only in short yardage situations so you can't judge his speed, if he broke off a long one you don't know if he would out run people or not. My money is on Hilliard going into the NFL just like Uncle Dalty! College teams should just be lucky LSU doesn't use this kid as a feature back because he would run all over them.

you are just caught up in the Trent Richardson zone, so might as well be a Bama because you sound like one of their homers. as for the Bama clown that commented below you I understand his biasism, he is Trent Richardson's bitch! but come Jan 9th LSU will spank that arse!!

Go frick your self Bama clown, I understand your biased BS with Richardson all up your arse!! I'm not gonna waste my time on you, I'm sayin it, but nobody here is denying it either cause they know the kid is talented. An arse like you trying to down play the talent here is no surprise.

If I had to pick one right now, I'd take Richardson because he's better. Hilliard may be better at some point in his career but even if he is, no one will know it because he wont be a feature back.
But what I really wanted to say is that either 15 or 20 lbs is a HUGE difference for a RB. So whoever brushed it off as trivial is kidding themselves.

Hilliard is the secret atom bomb that blew up 5 games ago.

No real (national)respect b/c of being a freshman and the ungodly prospect of LSU having 4 great RB's. I like it like that. You like it like that.

LSU has 105th passing game, because they don't pass.

Completion % is WAY up there along with TD to INT ratio.

Discount LSU's passing game and get burned. Discount Hilliard as a GREAT back and get run over.

These are the days.

How mad will Bama be coming into Tiger Stadium next next year with a 3 game losing streak to LSU?

These are the days.

Cholly Mac should be around to see this.

You're a clown for being on here and thinking we take you serious, if you punks had Hilliard you'd be singing his praises and grateful you stole him away from LSU!

What they should be talking about is the fact that our running attack is as potent as it is in spite of the fact that we have two dysfunctional quarterbacks. They have heart and soul.quarterback skills not so much. These include passing ability game prescence-management etc.

According to you ,
I'm riding TRich's cock, because I don't think a true freshman( a talented one) is better than the consensus #1 rb on every NFL teams' draft board. You do realize that TRich is basically all the offensive weapons that Bama has.

There you go putting words in my mouth sayin I said Hilliard is better then Richardson. I said in time Hilliard can be as good as Richardson, even better, and that is possible because he has that kind of skill. If he played on a college team that relied on him like Alabama does with Richardson he would put up impressive numbers like Richardson is doing, but because LSU uses a lot of RB's he won't put up those kind of numbers.

and the NFL scouts will be drooling as well when Hilliard comes out.

This diversionary response from the bammer fan validates this entire post, which was very well stated and totally accurate.
