I think that I hate the fact LSU chooses to sign two high caliber qbs in the same class.
I think it's counter productive to the program and both players, especially when you have other young qbs on the roster.
Just bc one guy edges another out in practice doesn't automatically mean he'll be the best qb come game day.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's ashame that a players legacy at a college could be altered due to things outside of his actual performance on the field.
Attrition does that.
It sucks.

Per year?
Yeah.
I think it's a more sustainable as to keeping guys and watching them produce.
Outside of injury what's odds both Brennan and narracise are around 2019?

Man, would you dreamers stop it with the Brandon Harris crap?
He us a Senior next year with a new OC coming in. I seriously doubt that Canada is going yo invest much time in a QB who has been a complete failure since he came to LSU. Harris will more than likely stat at LSU in the Spring but transfer after he sees that he is done at LSU and he is done.

I agree. Of course, signing two or more is required when you've fricked up your QB recruiting. Preferably, you would sign 1 good one per year and redshirt him.
What happens all too often:
Sign two QBs
Sign no QB (or low level QB) next year because depth scares off top recruits.
QB who does not win job transfers.
You are left with 1 QB and no or low level QB from next class.
This is kind of what happened with the Jennings/Harris combo, followed by McMillan.

I don't see Brennan transferring. He's all Tiger. Neither Narcisse.
It may be another Jarrett Lee/Jordan Jefferson scenario (hopefully with better results.)
However, there will be another complication in 2018-2019: Zadock Dinkelman.....

Harris lacks fundamentals & needs to,learn to read defenses

Whens the last time a 4 star qb recruit redshirted?
People need to realize that redshirting means absolutely nothing these days great players are going to leave after 3 years even if they redshirt. No great player is going to stay 5 years

Lowell needs to move to LBer! Kid is a physical specimen.

I know that Matt Flynn red-shirted his true freshman season, and he was a 4-star recruit. Also Rettig and Jerrard Randall did. Of course, Mett did while at Georgia.
I do not recall if any others did, but it seems like they were the only two.

Can someone please tell me how they know that Scott is a good college quarterbAck? He must hAve transferred to LSU from somewhere or he must be a juco guy...im asking cuz I don't know. I just see people on here saying that he may be the best QB on the roster. Surely the people on this site wouldn't make a statement like that without a shred of evidence or even a single snap to look at on film.lol

Just my opinion, but if you think that Canada doesn't even plan on considering Harris for the job then your out of your mind...i GUARANTEE you he will. You can't show up at LSU AND SAY"im not gonna evaluate wether the guy with the best arm on the team can win the job or not"....you don't have to know that much about the position to know the upside there...he gets as much of a chance as everybody else on the roster at qb, based on arm talent alone.if he can't put it all together then he's not gonna win the job,it's that simple. It's ignorance and short sightness like this that got us in the QB mess that we are in. Canada and any OC worth his salt will evaluate ALL available options and find the best one. Yes that includes the most naturally talented one on the roster.
You'll be the first one to bury Myles Brennan or any other QB after his first INT and be yelling for the backup or the next 4 star recruit to come in and save the day.
People love to bury QBs on here which is insane given a history of "bad QBs" changing coaches or scenery and being successful. shite this board wanted Mettenberger shitcanned after 2012 for Phil Rivers little bro or Hayden Rettigg, or whoever else was the flavor of the week.

13 downvotes?
Outside of Scott redshirting, what was so negative about my response?
I think Etling will do a good job, maybe Harris comes back and does something spectacular, Scott has upside and the incoming freshmen need to get SEC ready.
McMillian is an athlete, but not an SEC QB.

you people and your bh bullshite........"well he has a strong arm, is very athletic (what they mean is black) and loads of potential". When will y'all get it, he may be a great kid, may, but he doesn't have it at qb. If he just had one or two deficiencies, possibly...but he has several.
I agree with you that Harris isn't the answer and has deficiencies, primarily inaccuracy, but there's no need for the racial angle. Saying a QB is athletic isn't code for "black," unless you're easily triggered. Hell, Manziel was very athletic, so was Mariota, Andrew Luck, and this year Baker Mayfield, Nick Fitzgerald, Trevor Knight, Chad Kelly, Taysom Hill, etc, etc, etc.
