And to think most believe he was the second best QB on that LSU team.

Woodley had the best legs and was a decent passer. Ensminger was a very good passer and was a lot smarter imho. The young kids probably don't even know that LSU's current tight ends coach is a former Tiger QB. lol

Just curious...Stan Humphries was a NE Louisiana QB who started a Super Bowl. Did he transfer from LSU?

Woodley was #10 of 400+ in his high school graduating class. He was very smart

Woodley was an honor student, son of a prominent attorney, siblings all got graduate degrees....sister's was from Georgetown. Shula said he started Woodley so early because "He's the quickest study I've ever had."

Just think if Bradshaw could have spelled it he might have been at LSU.

I'll never forget being down to Ole Miss 21-0 and Ensminger passing us to a 28-21 win. Had to kill Mac to throw so much!

Yeah. Football smarts is why Ensminger had such a great NFL career.

You need to pay more attention to the posts of we older farts that remember games from the 60's or beyond. The first game that Tulane won in a quarter century gave people heart attacks in the early 70's. Three games in the rivalry were 62-0 occasions. I really do wish the Tulane could get their shite together to garner enough attention to get a game rescheduled to get that feeling of hatred again.

How can you say that? IIRC, Ensminger started and consistently got more snaps that Woodley. So, somebody must've thought it, unless I'm just completely misremembering.

Back-up QB is always the most popular man in town. I went to school with some people who would argue for hours that Timmy Byrd was better than Risher.
