O seems to be good at keeping the team together after losses unlike Les. After we lost those 3 games last season, they kept their cool and took care of Arkansas, Ole Miss and A&M down the stretch. Idc what their records were, those were good wins.

You just don't fire a coach with the record of Les Miles bc he was no longer competing for championships to be content with 8-4 or worse.
Administration felt Orgeron was the guy to elevate the program. He is expected to do that, not wallow in mediocrity or regress.
100% agree.

Not until heads roll at the top and we have new leadership. Alleva and Alexander are Next Year U's two biggest fans.

What, how many times did this actually happen? 2015 season? And he was fired.
He also, won the sec west twice and a national title after losses.

No excuses. It is a fact that this year will be a tough schedule. Every year is tough in the SEC. Some a bit more than others.
Seems the same people that say tough schedule is no excuse, say last year was the weakest schedule for LSU. Can't have it both ways. Either schedule matters or it doesn't. I take the position that it does not matter. You play whoever is on the field.

The only game outside of Bama UGA or Auburn I can see them losing is A&M
Much higher chance of losing to Miami. We'll run over A&M again.

Arkansas, A&M, Florida and Mississippi State should be automatic wins I would think after we heard about a first year coach last season. None of these teams are getting a roster as good as what O got.

In 88, we had running backs playing WR. Our best running back was out for the season with ACL rehab. We weren’t that good and still won the SEC.

The board thinks you're a count.

That's drunkspeak for "and A&M has the LSU game circled".

I agree. You play who you play. I'm not griping about last year's record. The loss to Troy was inexcusable. Period. The others ok. Not what I'd call a good year, not a bad year either. It was ok.
But, again we fired a championship winning coach bc he was no longer competing for championships. That was our standard. That was the expectation!
Alleva was quoted as saying he wanted someone who could compete for national championships. He ultimately believed Orgeron was that guy. So be it.
STFU and give us those results. That's all I'm saying. Compete for championships. Don't brag about 9 wins like it's what we are about,

We weren't that good
True, but there was still enormous talent on both sides of the ball. Don't forget the "lights out" defense which shut out A&M and held a powerful Auburn team to two FGs. And, Tommy Hodson remains LSU's passing leader to this day.

Why do people just make stuff up?
Les Miles lost consecutive games three times in 11 seasons.
2008 (Ole Miss Arkansas), 2014 (Alabama Arkansas), and 2015 (Alabama Arkansas Ole Miss).
Yeah that was a bad trend at the end and those 14 and 15 losses to Arkansas were pretty much what put him on his way to the firing squad.
But to act like Miles wasn’t a rock solid as any coach in the country at rallying the troops after a loss is just stupid.
