Good for him and LSU. He certainly seems deserving. But does anyone know the criteria for the award? Doesn't John David Moore have a 4.0 in Architecture? That seems pretty damn impressive to maintain along with the rigors of being a football player.

Probably his work on the SEC leadership council and community service is taken into account as well.

Etling seems like the kind of guy you'd love to have come back and coach for LSU someday. Dedicated, intelligent, great work ethic, great representative of the school and program.
