Have a buddy whose son was playing at an FCS school. Transferred to Big 12 school and is making over $300k a year so I can see that being close to correct.

I know that tackle considered is a more valuable position than running back, but if we’re paying Weston Davis more than Harlem Berry, my mind is blown.

Can't believe Benefield is the lowest paid starter we have

I wonder how much of that is tied to an agreement we made out of high school? He was a 5 star and highly recruited.
If you think about it, that could be a good reason to stay here. His market value would be viewed a lot differently than the valuation we gave him out of high school that led to a contract we probably have to honor.

that valuation model is riddled with assumptions galore. bordelons estimated value is 100% being inflated by some other big ticket olinemen

I still don’t understand how you sustain this over time
CFB will fully adopt the professional way eventually. We already run it like a professional team but the only way it stays sustainable is if the NCAA gets off its arse and actually puts some guidelines behind things, i.e., a cap

Strange since Bordelon's allowance is probably more than that.

I assume Pickett and Trey'Dez, just to name a few, have other deals that make them a good bit of money on top of this
They were the two football reps in the Nike brand rollout earlier this year. I am sure they scrilla tight.

As the professor of college coaching said, "it's not how much you are spending"
If you don't pay the right guys, you're going to be shite out of luck".
