The top 25 or 30 teams on the D1 and D2 levels are comparable. Maybe the overall depth is better in D1 but LSUE and those top D2’s can play with any D1.

That’s my experience but maybe it’s changed in last few years.

It's not necessarily a competition change from D1 to D2 like it is on the NCAA level.

it's a big difference. playing teams like blinn, san jacinto, panola, etc........is much more competitive than playing teams like home depot jr. college, whiskey river Baptist jr. college, and the Ozark mountain wal mart greeters. trust me.

That’s way too big of a number. LSUE would still be good and they would compete, but there is a distinct difference in the two levels.

LSUE played and beat Chipola this year. Chipola is about to repeat as the D1 champs.

They played and beat Delgado and BRCC, who are D1. And no one will ever say that BRCC is a better program than LSUE.

You are vastly over stating the difference between D1 and D2 JUCO.

The best leagues are the Florida and Texas leagues, and they're D1. But the Mississippi league isn't a bad league at all, and it's D2. There is a lot of trash D1 as well.

my first post said that the bengals do well against d1 and should be moved up.

d1 is much better than d2. a lot more athletes that can't make the act/sat for division one right outta high school. d2 consists of a lot of all district 2nd teamers who just want to continue their baseball careers.

that being said, LSUE is one of the few d2 programs that are loaded with d1 talent.

LSUE’s baseball program is literally the only reason to not shut such an obsolete school down

Any idea why Willis has remained at LSUE for so long and not moved up?
