means next years team will not be close to this years team......lsu will be young and lose more games.......

many here talk about how lsu will beat teams like nc,wvu and tenn easily...well next years team could not beat those teams who should of beat lsu this year.....so what makes you think they could beat those other teams next year.....

5-7/6-6/7-5 maybe

I think NC is the ACC version of Arkansas, Tennessee, or Auburn this year... not really great but good enough to upset someone

That's true. They were also 6th in the ACC and lost to Virginia at home and NC State.

I don't think the game is a gimme, but until someone shows me something, I'm not putting that one down as a loss.

More experience at QB and o-line can go a long way.

My head hurts

Just seems to me you're making a hell of a lot of assumptions and stating them as fact. The fact is....noone knows what the hell is going to happen this season.

I don't see why everyone is chalking Florida up as a guaranteed loss....Florida is losing an extreme amt of talent not counting leadership...plus the questions marks surrounding the coaching staff....If we have no chance against Florida next season then we may as well count that as a guaranteed loss from here on out.....

I remember during the season people were saying we will have one of the best secondaries in the country in 2010. I for one still believe that and also very excited about Drake Nevis and other younger guys on the Defense. 7-5 is a possibility because of our schedule, but I don't think anything less is likely.

I disagree with a couple of the OP's predictions but I'm not dismissing 7-5 for one second. Tell me that some of you people haven't forgotten that we EASILY could have and probably should have lost to MSU & UGA this year...Tell me you've forgotten LA. Tech outplaying us for 3 qtrs. What about Troy St. last year? I know you are going to say that we "could have" won the Alabama and OM games but for 2 years now we havent..so if that continues and we lose to FLA and then the ball doesnt bounce our way against a MSU, UNC or WVA...why is 7-5 so hard to believe? I suppose that this is the same crowd that thought we were going to destroy Penn State in the Cap 1 bowl as well...sigh this must be the denial stage.

Why can someone say we should have lost this game, but someone can't say we should have won this game? A should have lost counts as one in the win column and a should have won is one in the loss column. I think both arguments are stupid. Looking at the schedule yes we could go 7-5, but if the ball bounces are way we are looking at a better record. The season is like 7 months away we don't know what we got until we get there.

the sad thing is, I agree with you...
P.S. could you imagine JL transfer and start vs. the tigers and pulling an upset?...how bad would that be?... Mc Neese aint no slouch...just like Tech...

Watch how easy this is:

quote:

North Carolina at Atlanta, Ga.....win v. overrated ACC team

Vanderbilt * at Nashville..........win

Mississippi State * Baton Rouge...win

West Virginia Baton Rouge, La.....win v. overrated Big East team

Tennessee * Baton Rouge, La.......win since the Vols lose a ton on both sides of the ball and limp to a 4-8 record.

Florida * at Gainesville, Fla.....win--Brantley is no Tebow and the defense is depleted.

McNeese St. Baton Rouge, La.......win

Auburn * at Auburn, Ala...........win

Alabama * Baton Rouge, La.........win, Miles goes to 2-2 v. Saban

UL-Monroe Baton Rouge, La.........win

Ole Miss * Baton Rouge, La........win since Ole Miss has no skill players left

Arkansas * Little Rock, Ark.......win

Assuming no coaching changes are coming, a 7-5 record and a trip to the Shreveport Bowl looks realistic.

9-3... with potential for 10-2 or 11-1

So much will depend on who leaves early for the Tigers and the QB development. I also hope there is some time spent on the 2-min drill between now and next fall.

Why would we lose to WVU or NC? Those two teams have got to be the worst of their conferences.
As far as Im concerned, its a toss-up in the games like Florida and Alabama. We can beat bama if we dont deal with more injuries. Florida loses leadership, I dont know how much more stress the Meyer can take before losing it. I think we'll beat Tenn, but I still have a funny feeling about them.

I predict 7 and 5.

I look at it this way. Trying to be as objective as I can.

Obvious wins are Vandy, Miss St, McNeese, ULMonroe, Ole Miss.

Probable losses are Fla, Aub, Bama, Arkansas

Tossups are UNC, WV and Tenn

If the tossups go either way, my range is between 5 and 8 wins. I say we win 2 out of three tossup games. So, my official prediction is a 7-5 regular season.

This should be enough for Miles to be ousted; although, there will still be some true believers looking for someone else to blame. If Crowton is still around, he is the obvious scapegoat. With a new OC, the excuse will be that we haven't adapted to the system, yet.
