Does anyone think we may see a switch between Eades and Nola in the weekend rotation? I know there is not much difference between the two, but Eades is really turning into the pitcher we hoped he would be and Nola (although pitching well) is not the dominant Friday night starter we are accustom to seeing. I still think Nola has All-American talent, but he is having some issues lately with consistency. Maybe take away the pressure of leading off the weekend and it may relax him a little on the hill.

I know, 22-2...if it ain't broke, don't fix it...just food for thought on a dull Monday.

Nola and Eades are pretty comparable in terms of stuff and ability. I don't think you gain much by switching the two of them.

Did see a Pittsburgh Pirates scout filming Eades on Saturday though.

I don't think so. I think Eades has been better than Nola to this point, but I wouldn't want to change things up. Nola has still been very solid and we haven't lost a game in which Nola has started. He will finish strong.

I would agree with you of switching him to Saturday might relax him a little. But I really don't see a change unless he really starts struggling.

pitchers are creatures of habit. making this change might frick up Eades' psyche.

I wouldn't change anything for two reasons.

#1, I think Eades is settled in, and given his issues last year, I wouldn't want to do anything that would potentially put extra workload on him or change his rhythm.

#2, Nola's best is better than Eades, and I think his best is ahead of him.

I think it could happen very soon if they both keep pitching how they have
