Lou Holtz throbber for ND makes me sick, but his just and old guy with a lisp so who cares?
The very thought of Lou Holtz even having a throbber makes me sick.

It's a shame most of you don't have a clue about the accomplishments of Lou Holtz.
- Only coach in history to take 6 different programs to bowl games
- Took over a N.C. St. program in 1972 that was coming off of three straight losing seasons and had been to something like 2 bowl games in the previous 20 years. He proceeded to go 31-11-2 and take them to 4 straight bowl games.
- Took over Arkansas in 1977 and proceeded to go 60-21-2 and go to bowl games in 6 of his 7 seasons there.
- Took over a Minnesota team that had won only 2 games combined in the prev. 2 seasons. Holtz promptly took them to a winning record and bowl game in his only season there.
- In his first six seasons @ ND, he went 64-9-1 w/a NC in 1988 and should have had another in 1993, having only one loss and handing Florida St. their only loss. In a sympathy vote for Bobby Bowden, Fl.St. was awarded the NC. He took ND to 9 straight bowl games, a ND record. Keep in mind ND took on all comers back then: Florida St., Miami (both programs in their heyday), Penn St., USC, Texas, Ohio St., Tenn., Michigan, Alabama, LSU, TX A&M, Colorado, Washington and Florida were teams ND played one or more times while Holtz was the HC. SEVEN of these programs won at least one NC during Holtz's tenure @ ND. Pretty much a "who's-who" of college football programs during that era.
- At South Carolina, a program hardly known for their football success, he took over a team that had gone 1-10. After an initial 0-11 season, he took them to 8-4 and 9-3 seasons and back-to-back Outback Bowl wins. This at a school that has had little football success and few bowl games in their history. Say what you will about Lou Holtz as an announcer, but he was a great football coach.

WOW! Just take a step back and look at that stat... again WOW! Your telling me that, that year the OOC was so difficult that the Legend Lou couldn't eek out one victory?
Sincerely,
WOW!
If he didn't spit so much when he talks, I could probably stand him more. Also, if he didn't pick ND to win every game they play that would help too.

You forgot to mention that he left 4 schools on probation... I am sure it was just an oversight on your part.
