A large number of LSU fans will be staying at Holiday Inn Reliant Park. This hotel is right next to the stadium. You can walk across the parking lot to get to the game. I know of a few others staying at the Crown Plaza next to the stadium
Yea but pretty sure these are sold out...

I don't need a hotel. I live only about 10 miles from Tiger Stadium.
Oh, yeah....

If I said it once i'll say it again, you don't want to stay at the hotels near the stadium. Area is not very nice at night and hotels are really not that nice either. Plus no nightlife that anyone of us would want to do.

Absolutely. I live in Houston and took the rail to the rodeo (also at Reliant)...only 25-30 minute trek, no worries about drinking and driving, parking, etc.
Can easily walk to midtown/downtown from the rail route
Rail stops with street names

Embassy suites downtown. Two blocks from house of blues and three blocks from rail line. Last year we stayed there and took the train to dinner, museum etc. great!

Disagree x 1000
Stay within walking distance of the stadium then take the rail or cabs before and after the game if you want to go out.

There are hotels right by the stadium that have availabilities. I just made one for a friend on Saturday.

I just booked a room at the downtown Crown Plaza hotel. Short walk to the rail stop and to the stadium we go.
