A few of us are going to the LSU game and want to book our rooms soon – want to stay where most of the fans will be, team hotel or convenient to the stadium – not wanting to stay where Wisconsin will be or their team hotel.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Stay at a Hotel on the Light Rail Route and ride that in to the game. Downtown has few nice hotels. Search this site and there was a thread about this just recently.

A large number of LSU fans will be staying at Holiday Inn Reliant Park. This hotel is right next to the stadium. You can walk across the parking lot to get to the game.

I know of a few others staying at the Crown Plaza next to the stadium.

Houston is a very spread out city. The hotels by Reliant Stadium are not great and there is nothing to do over there but the tailgate/game. Downtown Houston has nicer hotels but it too is pretty dead on the weekend. Best area would be the Galleria area, at least for dinner/night life.

We're staying at Hotel Icon. We booked it a while back when they were having a special. It's literally right across the street from the light rail station.

Hyatt Regency Downtown is near light rail system and has a Shula's steakhouse I highly recommend.

Got Two rooms at hotel zaza.

Try to get a hotel near the midtown area, the nightlife is great, lots of good places to eat and you can take the metro from midtown to reliant before and after the game.

Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Galleria. It's literally next door to The Men's Club.

Personally, I would not stay at a hotel near Reliant. They are are not the best and the Stadium is not in the best part of Houston anyways.

I live in Houston and if I go I am contemplating getting a hotel room across the street. That traffic going to the game is an unmitigated bitch.IMO it is worse than Cowboy Stadium in Dallas.

Don't do that. Hotel is not very nice. I'd just park downtown and ride light rail down. I've done it for a few Texans games and the Final 4. Really easy and plenty of parking downtown.
