He said they have a different type of athlete. And said y'all weren't there yet.

I'll certainly eat crow if you can provide some documentation. That's a pretty heavy accusation to throw around with zero to back it up. I'm not sure why the others are taking your bait in this hypothetical pissing match, but I want some proof if you're going to throw that crap around.

I have many friends who are USC alums. They have connections. They have told me that. I too have read it. I do not have the time now to try to find such because people like you are flooding me with posts and I am major behind... however it is indeed true and I easily stand by it!

BSU is not a BCS school. Please read.

I bet you could...

For one, when you schedule, one has no clue how good they will be.

Weren't you previously commenting about LSU playing a winless Washington team, even though it was scheduled prior to that?

we only get 3 OOC games/year and you get 4/year.

Barking up the wrong tree.

You should be doing way more with yours, as you have more.

Most SEC schools use them to play traditional rivals (Louisville, Texas A&M, GT, Clemson, FSU, etc.). Our traditional rival, Tulane, happens to suck.

You also missed another Michigan.

ETA: Please document the other time that you played Michigan in Ann Arbor? You played them in Eugene in 2003. Hows that for an "inbred" that doesn't pay attention to other conferences.

Bottom line, the teams from shitty recruiting areas always want to play the teams from great recruiting areas

Why do most of you just assume playing OOC games to some programs is about recruiting. We could care less about that. We just think we are good and want to play others who are good to measure ourselves against: For the spirit of competition. I know that is a odd concept for SEC schedule as many rent-a-wins as one can Deep South Mentality...

LSU PLAYED NINE RANKED TEAMS LAST YEAR AND BEAT 8 OF THEM!!!!

It's really stronger than that, LSU beat all the ranked teams it faced last year. It only lost a Mulligan Bowl game to a ranked team it had already beaten.

Several things you've said are untrue or can't be proven which is the same.
1. Oregon is close to being a powerhouse.
2. That had Oregon not fumbled they woulda beat LSU.
3. That somehow PAC12 schedules are harder than SEC schedules
4. that LSU is scared to play anyone. Out of all the sec teams,LSU is the least scared to schedule decent ooc games.

All he has done is shift his argument points, speak in half truths or just state his opinions as facts.

A rather pointless thread, except it kept me entertained on a slow day at work.

1.Define Powerhouse. Why don't you ask ESPN if they think we are. I don't know if we are or if I would use that word, but I would say this: Since our new head coach, he has given us 3 straight Conference titles and taken us to 3 impressive BCS bowl games. As far as what BCS bowl games attended in that same stretch, only Bama is more impressive in total overall. And in the last few years we have constantly been ranked in the top 5. I think many would call that a powerhouse. However I am not sure if I would use that word. I would say we are a elite program or in that category(one of the top ones).

2. I never said FOR SURE we would of won had not those fumbles. But it may of been likely. But it deff explains how we lost. When teams lose there is always a reason if you watch them. I was just listen the valid reason. And as anyone knows, its hard to win a game where you play that sloppy, esp giving up fumbles, that many, near your endzone.

3. I know in total, on average that the PAC schedules are harder OOC then the SEC. However I do think your Conference is overall harder, internally. But then add a curve ball. We have to play 9 of them. And our Conference always has tons of parity. Any team, can always beat another in ours at any given time. Keep in mind, no one in the county, back in USC's prime could beat USC. However PAC teams could... Think about that... And well, playing 9 straight Conference games, without that near season ending rent-a-win just may be harder to do then your 8, but loaded with rent-a-wins. Every year you do indeed have one great or two great teams. However your middle class and low ones aren't jack shite. UGA, lost to BSU last year and Colorado and a Sunbelt team the year before...BSU they get a pass on because they were actually good, but Colorado was very bad. And Olemiss losing to a D-2 school year before last...

4. I agree totally with what you said in point 4. LSU is the most un-SEC like program in the SEC when it comes to desiring to schedule OOC...

After reading all of ducks fly's posts, I may change my mind about people whining about him over on the help board.

These observations are awful.

Let me get this straight; you know how we southerners are a little slow. You come on here, amongst other things in an obvious flame, that LSU refused to schedule USC. Yet, you have not proof other than "I have many friends who are USC alums and I've read it too."

Then, you blame me for your inability to find any evidence because "people like me" keep "flooding you with posts." I first asked an hour and a half ago. I'm not sure the first request.

Is that basically it?

Okay, I'm done none here. You're a useless troll and you were given sufficient time to prove otherwise.

Both I assume. He says that we've refused to schedule them since the 2003 season. He also can't back any of it up.

You do know that Oregon and other PAC-12 teams don't have a choice, they have to schedule tough OOC games. Otherwise their strength of schedule would not be enough to bump them over other 1 loss teams come BCS time.

LSU on the other hand does this by choice. I am not talking about any other SEC school, because frankly I think they do schedule pussy OOC games. However, LSU does not. We will play anyone, we may not do it on your terms. And why should we? A team like Oregon and a team like UNC or Washington has a lot more to gain by playing LSU than LSU has to gain by playing them.
