not one back for either team had 100 yards rushing in that game.

Lafell had 12 catches, that must be a record for a WR under Miles.

Troys QB was 34 of 72 and none of their WR had a 100 yard game. 10 guys caught a pass. The most was 63 yards.

I went to that game with a la state rep
We parked in the lot behind the old Alex box outfield and walked in about 10 min before kickoff

Our seats were on the 50, on the aisle directly under the old "welcome to death valley" sign

We stayed for the whole game basically because I figured I would never sit in seats that good again

The Angels in the Outfield thing was one of the coolest experiences I had in the student section.

<---- stayed until the end

I was so cold and miserable by the end (buzz clearly wearing off), but I look back at it fondly as a memorable experience. Well, maybe everything except the first half of the game

and Angels in the Outfield?

I'd be curious to see highlights because I missed most of the 08 and 09 seasons due to deployments.

My son was born the friday before that game. My wife told me to go home and rest so I could watch the game. Well I was obviously pissed off and went back to the hospital only to watch the espn bottom line roll through and each time we got closer and closer.

The only game I've ever left early. When Troy scored to open the second half, we figured that nothing had changer in locker room, so we left. Took us 3 hours to get back to Houma. Every time LSU scored, we stopped the car, got out and kicked one another in butt or leaving early. Greatest come back in history & we missed it. Promised myself that I would never leave Tiger Stadium before the Alma Mater is played or the team leaves the field!

I like remembering the UAB game.

It reminds me of how I know we have a better coach in Les Miles than we had w/Nick Saban.

I don't want to remember that game.

Ditto for LSU vs. Houston whatever year that was when Faulk saved our arse.

Not my favorite cardiac arrest moments.

Or the 2002 arse whooping when Bama beat us 31-0.

I had to work that day and didn't get home until the wee hours of the morning. I turned on the VCR and watched the entire game at 4 am. Thank God I didn't see it live. If not for the ability to fast forward through the breaks in action, I might have taken the shotgun to the TV.

It's there, you just have to look next to the 2009 MSU, 2010 Tenn, and 2007 Tulane games.

It isn't there. Hard to believe there isn't a link to the highlights of this game.

I played pick up basketball a few years ago, against the qb of Houston from the '96 game. I mentioned I was at the game that night, and his posture just sank. It still bothered him as he felt they should have won.

I'm not bagging on the guy in any way. If I went to a non BCS school, played my heart out, only to let it slip away, I'd probably have a difficult time too.

Y'all do realize Houston beat us 3 years later in what would become Dinardos last game as HC of the Tigers.

I'm thinking the comeback against Houston in 1996 would be a better comeback we trailed in that one 34-14 entering the 4th Qtr. Ended up winning 35-34. If only for the fact that Houston had a better team that year then Troy did in 2008.

People were leaving in the 1st quarter. I doubt there were 60,000 people there at kickoff.

I remember going to Ninfa's unconcerned thinking the LSU would dominate. I remember seeing the ticker scroll by seeing us losing by a considerable margin and almost fell outta my chair. Unreal, but hey, we won.
