I think this will be a sell out no matter what. Believe me, Jerry ain't gonna let the stadium be empty for a national TV audience. He will make sure asses are in those seats. LSU will bring a bunch more than 40k fans

Oregons not like most Pac 10 teams. They travel well. I remember going to the Oregon Miss st game and Oregon fans easily filled their sections on the lower and upper deck and more were sprinkled throughout. And that was in Starkville......

LSU had over 30,000 fans travel to Atlanata for a game against UNC. Dallas is closer, were playing a much better opponent, we have way more fans in Texas than Georgia, and theres a ton more hype around next years team than there was on the 2010 squad. Not to mention this will only be the second time we've played in Dallas in the last 7 or 8 years compared to the numerous times we've played in Atlanta.
Also, we had about 20,000 fans show up in Seattle two years ago for the opener.
I'd be shocked if we didnt have at least 60,000- 70,000 fans there....and I think Oregon will surprise you guys. They will have at least 10,000 fans there as well. I also expect plenty of locals to come out of the woodwork for this huge matchup. Overall, I think it will be very close to being a sell out.

The game will sell out. My gf who I don't think has ever been to a game (or even understands the rules) wants to make the trip. I have several friends who don't go to games in TS who want to go to dallas.
For whatever reason even casual or non fans want to go.

You don't realize how many people want to go to this game... I have not talked to a single friend or family member of mine that doesn't.

Well then, I guess you're going to be shocked!
I know you guys are dreamin' big, but I can guarantee you there will be no more than 40,000 Tiger fans there. Which is still really good!
Here is my breakdown:
BR/NO/South Louisiana-------27,000
Shreveport/North Louisiana------7,000
Dallas/North Texas--------------4,000
Houston/East Texas--------------2,000
If I'm leaving someone out let me know, but this is how I see the geographical demographics playing out for the Oregon game. I might have been to generous with the South Louisiana number. This is more like a best case scenario and certainly obtainable.
To expect 60k TigerFans to show up in Dallas is just unrealistic. 70k? I have to question your age/intelligence.

we almost had 40,000 fans make the cotton bowl and the aggie fans bought up all the tickets before we could,..... and a lot of people didnt go because they werent excited about the match-up. we will have at least 50-60k in Dallas for the Oregon game

No, we didn't. We had 25-30k at the Cotton Bowl, according to Herb Vincent. I was at the game, and that seemed pretty accurate.
If we do end up with 40,000 fans at the Oregon game, that would be an awesome accomplishment. Maybe some of you aren't thinking about what it takes for people to make a trip like this.
If we get 7,000 from Shreveport/North Louisiana, again, this would be quite an accomplishment.
There are an estimated 10,000 LSU fans in the Metroplex, if we can get 40% of those folks to show up, that would be a great accomplishment as well.

Stop being a brat and bvuy from LSU they will have plenty available, its good for LSU to buy from teams allotment, you'll be with LSU fans and plus request the 240 or whatever it is a ticket not many will ask for those with the mess Bush left the economy in and you'll get good seats too

LSU's allotment will be around 15,000 so don't expect any tickets to remain after season ticket holders and students complete their requests. Your best bet is to wait until the day of the game to buy tickets. You will probably be able to get tix for face value, possibly less.

I Mom doesn't really care about football or any sports for that matter. I've asked her countless times to go to games with me and always,"no, that's to long to sit for something that I care less about". I mentioned to her the other day that we plan on going to the Oregon game in Dallas at the new Stadium there, her exact response was:" Wow I would love to go to that game to see the stadium, I think that would be neat". My Mom is 71 and I can't wait to take her to the game. There will be alot of people at the game just because of the stadium alone. It should sell out, whether or not they're LSU fans or not.

I expect each school to get more than 15,000 tickets to sell. When A&M and Arky played in Jerryworld, wasn't each school alloted something like 30,000 tickets?
That being said, I wouldn't put it past that greedy bastard Jones to screw over the participating teams.
