LSU vs. Ole Miss early thoughts

Offense should keep rolling. Ole Miss defense doesn’t really impress me. Especially after letting up 34 to Auburn.
Our defense needs to set up. Was considered a strength two weeks ago but they have seriously underperformed. TN was okay to let up those amount of points. Bama did it too. Florida should’ve been under 30.
We can force Dart to make mistakes. Crowd needs to influence this game.
Ole Miss ranked #7 and LSU being unranked is no true teller on the talent on the roster. We are very close to them, if not more talented.
Win here would set up a Bama showdown in Death Valley for the lead of the SEC WEST, Night game likely due to GA vs TN probably getting that 230 CBS SLOT.
Like our chances a lot. Feels like we’re catching fire at the right time. 5 of last 6 with only loss to top 3 team.

Nice post.
Ole Miss struggled against Tulsa, Troy, Vandy and Auburn.
If LSU improves from the UF game, then LSU has a good chance to win this game by two scores again like the MSU and UF victories.
Ole Miss doesn’t scare me as much as UF and MSU did. Need to prevent LSU starting slow and allowing Ole Miss to gain confidence and a lead early.

That’s just silly. Ole Miss’ run game is legit and will pose a major issue for the LSU defense

So true. I feel more confident about this game than MSU and UF. Like by far. Think we’re just better.

Too hard to tell with this team! Looked liked we were headed in the right direction against MSU, I chalked up the Auburn game to it being a road game and LSU vs AU, the Tenn game was disappointing not because we loss the game but because we regressed in all phases. If we build off of Florida we should have a really good chance at beating Ole Miss. i just want to see improvement from week to week with this team.

I mean opening kickoff let Gators start at midfield and Bech fumbling inside the 30 kind of skews the defensive performance…. But I agree the tackling on the 81-TD run was trash. We looked like Auburn trying to tackle LF7 on that play.

No. They suffered long enough and it’s nice to see someone besides Bama puffing their chests
Agree w the OP’s breakdown. Our newfound offense gives us a much better chance in this game than it first appeared. Ole Miss does not throw it very well and House will have a good plan to slow their running game.
