1998

Edit to say we were top 10 preseason. By the time we got to south bend I think we are 4-5 fighting for a bowl game and lost in a crazy affair.

That 2001 game in TS was pretty cold as it started at 55 and temperature plummeted to 46 but it was misty also.. LSU fell way behind but just ran out of downs. It stunk.

2001 was not cold at all

2002 ole piss was COLD as was bama that year

1997 against Notre Dame was miserable

I remember Jarius Jackson looking like Joe Burrow (thank you, Lou Tepper and Thomas Dunson) and sleet

I was at the 97 game in TS. Upper deck. Occasional sleet. Met Benny Gilbeaux’s sister. Opelousas kid that got away to ND. Only score was a late Faulk td to make it 24-6. Got my passing games mixed up. 97 they ran all over us.

LSU had two baffling losses in 1997, first the Ole Miss debacle the week after upsetting Florida, and the abysmal day game performance at home vs an average Notre Dame team. Both outcomes shouldn't have happened; the only excuse possible for these mysterious losses (both in Death Valley!) was the fact both Ole Miss and Notre Dame enjoyed bye-week advantages before playing LSU.

No it was at home the week before the Alabama upset. They played in Jackson in 92.
