LSU should be able to ride the same formula as Georgia here.

1) Win the turnover battle. We've been extremely good here.

2) Stop the run. This cannot be overstated. This guy is worse than Franks when it comes to passing. Harass the hell out of him.

3) Screens and quick slants. We've struggled with screens, but the only loss that State has to study involves Florida abusing us with blind side blitzing. It's reasonable to expect the o line to struggle a bit. Burrow excels in short passing.

Overall, we get a "comfy" win where I think the game is close, but never in doubt. Nick will turn it over under pressure.

28-17 is the score I'm going with.

the most important part of the game will be the line of scrimmage. If LSU is able to give Joe time to throw the ball than this game will be over by the third quarter. But if State is able to get a constant rush on us than this game will come down till the very end.

LSU will come ready to play due to the revenge factor:
36-17 with state scoring a garbage time TD

Would be impressive to the entire country if we held them to 10 until garbage time.

That would be a statement.

yeah, he hasnt forgotten that game... i actually think mixing it up and going uptempo is gonna give Miss St problems on defense. the question is, will we execute as good as we did against Georgia... we have to catch the ball..

there are 4-5 guys that should be touching the ball

Marshall
Chase
Jefferson
Sullivan
Anderson

Theres your 5 wide and your best catchers...

MSU has a good defensive front. I wonder if the O-line can stand up to it. If so, this will be an easy win.

27 LSU
10 MSU

And I wouldn't be surprised if we scored more. But I honestly don't care if they get style points. They don't have to prove anything other than a win.

If this were an away game and Mullen was on the sideline, I would share your sentiment. But LSU shouldn't have any trouble with this one.
