Coleman will not be the Sunday starter over Anderson
I didn't say Coleman should start Sundays. Hurd should have WAY more rope as a starter. If not Hurd, then Anderson should be the next guy up, not Coleman.

I don’t.
Wasting Anderson on midweek scrubs in meaningless games would be stupid.
Hell, the idea of a midweek starter is dumb. Those games should be used to get a bunch of guys work
Yeah, but you have to consider your audience.
These are people who remember a pitcher having a solid outing, and then they just latch on to that. No understanding that maybe the other team just hit hard into a bunch of outs, or couldn't hit that day. You saw it with Money most of last year (even from a few known baseball posters here). You see it a bit with Helmers. You see it with Dutton. And with Coleman as well, although Coleman is the only one with a bit of a higher ceiling. 3 of these 4 simply aren't good pitchers, but posters remember a solid outing or two and think this can happen consistently.

Loer’s FB is interesting at 91mph
20-24” of vertical break (18” is good for a FB, 20” is elite)
16” of horizontal break
Ball is moving & this will be a deadly combo vs LH. Heavy bore on their hands

Probably should be classified as something other than a FB. Cutter, sinker, something

Look at that ball run!

Herring is the Sunday long relief option at best. That's if Loer doesn't pass that up

Sure looks like he throws a screwball to righties.

Only stat that matter is usl took the l.
Not sure what to make out of loer here tonight but he gritted it out after the unlucky homer to the .077 hitter.

It's far from the only stat that matters. There was a ton to take away from this game that was positive. That's the problem I just mentioned. People just look at a result and form an opinion based off of solely that. That's not the way baseball works, because there is so much failure involved. Loer can be trusted over time in SEC play, unless there is some mental that breaks him down. Jump is absolutely elite. Awesome to get the win, but that's not the major takeaway from tonight.

Ya, sinker technically. Just his main pitch
Sinker / slider / change up
That slider kinda frisbee’d on that HR & batter ran into it

Does this site do college baseball or only this tournament since its the Astros Minute Maid Classic?
The technology is ballpark-specific. But all mlb parks have it

Seems like Johnson is set on a combo of Holman, jump (once he gets more stamina built back) and possibly Coleman for a weekend rotation with a plethora or bullpens arms. He is obviously testing his staff to see who can be trusted when. Herring has not been what he was last year so far but that can change.
