That team should have never lost a Game, and Lost 3 and tied 1, lost to State, Tulane and Nebraska, tied Tennessee.

Yes.... Awesome night in Tiger Stadium. Remember the fog rolling in over the upper deck and oranges flying in the second half. Dalton Hilliard had a great game too.
Agree with another poster - this was one of our great teams of the 70's-90's that won some big games and inexplicably lost a couple to Tulane and Moo State. In addition to Hilliard, James, Lance Smith and Eric Martin on offense, we had Leonard Marshall, Albert Richardson and Eugene Daniel on the defensive side.

I was at the Tennessee and Tulane games.
Paul Tulane is buried in the same cemetery at the Menendez brother's parents.

I think a thick blanket of fog moved into the stadium in the 2nd half. Made it difficult to see across the stadium.
Correct. I was a Boy Scout usher at that game on the east side. Guys were handing us oranges and we were slinging them.

Beat LSU all 4 years while at St when the were huge underdogs at times. You would have had to live that crap time.

Great game and fun team.

Didn’t John Bond, MSU QB, beat us 4 years in a row?
Posted on 6/18/24 at 6:21 pm to Tiger1988
would be great if we ever figure out how to beat them again

I was there and that fog was no joke! Oranges were flyin

That was my 1st LSU game. Folks got their jokes on here but it was the coolest experience of my young life at that time and it wasn't even close. My dad took me after we moved to south Louisiana. I was lucky to return the favor bringing him to the 2003 Georgia game.

My first home game as well. Eye opener for a 14 year old. I was hooked for life after that game.

One of my favorite games in Tiger Stadium.
Fog covered the field in the 2nd half while oranges were flying out of the upper deck like missiles.
The loss to Tulane the following week but a damper on the season. The same wild season that LSU beat the Bear in Birmingham in his final season as coach.
