Agreed. Not paying $100 for the wife and I to stand around inside the arena and eat one plate of food

I'd much rather just drink and eat at a bar and ride the MetroRail to the stadium. $50 for a plate of food and AIR CONDITIONING!? Wow, thanks LSU Houston!

I know they were in a battle with the venue bc they are required to use the in house catering company. And anything they contracted in for Louisiana specialities they had to pay a surcharge on top.

Seeing as the Event is at Reliant Center, I figured there has to be a lot of red tape involved.

Can people with game tickets leave and re-enter Reliant Property prior to entering the game or do you have to buy a tailgate guest ticket in addition to your game ticket?

Wow $50 for tailgate food and doesn't start until 3:30? Nobody is going to go to that. People are going to want to start partying early and will not pay that 3 hours before kickoff w/ no alcohol included.

You can go to Vic and Anthony's downtown and get a steak and A/C for less than that. What a joke.

$50 for a plate of food is ridiculous, IMO. Especially for generic corporate catering.

I imagine this is the over-priced party people have already paid for when they booked their "packages".

When things come in a package, it usually means, buy all this stuff together because it looks simple because individually you would never buy any of them.

These rules about tailgating times coupled with the tailgate offerings looks like this could end up being a cluster.
I understand things are different in Arizona and Washington, but with the number of Tiger fans being at this game, this should have been addressed at the time the game was scheduled.

As I said earlier. They were handcuffed by the venue. I'm sure it would be $25 if they weren't serving alcohol (liability insurance required), and just had hot dogs and burgers, etc.

But the costs go up quickly with these convention center types when you start bringing in outside catering and are serving alcohol on the premises.

I'm just saying why. Sheesh.

And the AA does a good deal of work for the University in scholarship support for students, etc.

The alumni pregame/night before tailgates are such a waste of time and money. They have gotten out of hand in the past few years.

Thanks. I have other plans. But my parents will be making the trip and this is right up their ally.
