Can’t wait for next October. I’m sure LSU runs away with it but to see Army in Tiger Stadium will be one to remember.

Man I wish we played at West Point. I’ve got to see a game there before the pearly gates.

If you ever get to go to West Point and watch a game you wont regret it.

My dad is West Point Class of '66, already planning the trip.

I'm looking forward to this game too. I'm more excited for this game than Florida State.

So also a Vietnam veteran, terrible year to graduate.

Get on campus early, tailgate and walk around. They do tours but your dad knows where everything is.

Yeah...he has been up to West Point a few times for games in the past few years. He has a connection to Coach Monken via family friend and has some great times at the games.

Really talking about planning the LSU game next year, should be a blast. My cousin also went to West Point so trying to make a weekend of it.

As for his service, '66 was a rough year to graduate but he stayed in for almost 30 years.

I hope we run up the score on them for stealing Paul Dietzel.

My ND fan buddy HATES when they play service academies b/c their (usually overmatched) O-linemen have perfected the dark art of cut blocking—which of course greatly increases the risk of blown out knees on the D-line.

Well now, Dietzel would never have left LSU except the Army job was the one thing he wanted all his life, except when the other one thing he wanted all his life came up at SC.

My favorite game of the year by a mile. Never miss it.
They are not playing for NIL, transfer portal and many will never play another game in the future.

He took the South Carolina job as a fall back after he was a flop at Army.

The one who encouraged him to take the Army job was Troy Middleton. If we would have used that as a reason to take his name off the library the decision may have been less controversial.

Many West Point grads died in Nam

The ones who listened to their 1stSgt and platoon leaders had a better chance to survive.

If we play at Army I defiantly will be there

Defiance is an emotion fraught with ambiguity, dependent entirely upon context.
