For some reason I don’t remember this game.

So much winning that year I suppose.

Well...we lost that game. Charles Scott ran for about 170 in the first half and then barely played the rest of the game. I was there. And it was miserable.

What a season 2007 was. Crazy to think we lost 2 games during the regular season to a Kentucky and Arkansas team and we still played in the NC

To think that was our offensive play calls in the 3rd OT...4 runs all inside the tackles....Les Miles at his worst

I remember listening to it on the radio while I helped a friend and his dad roof their camp in GI. Sounded like two different games between halves, not believing what we heard in those OTs.

Roofing and listening to us lose to Kentucky. Miserable.

A lot of big plays we screwed up lost the game, but we had them 3rd and goal from about the 10, and I think Curtis Taylor got called for a P.I. that gave them an auto 1st down. That was killer. I think we may have stopped the run on 1st and 2nd down again, but our guys were too gassed to get to Woodson, and Zenon slipped for the wide open TD.

And our offensive play calling on 2nd-4th downs were atrocious.

Was there for that one too. Chalked it up to 'an experience'. Got the Kentucky humble welcome and 'don't beat up on us too bad' that went to, well, you know...

If you remember much at all about that season, this game should be one of them.

Spoiler alert: We lose.

I will never forget the name Keith Zinger because of this play. I remember very clearly the state of shock I was in after we lost this game. Incredible to think we bounced back from it to move back into the number 1 spot, only to have to relive that shock again the last game of the season vs Arky, in almost the exact same fashion. And then moved back into the championship slot again...

fricking wild season. Will never have another one like it, I have no doubts.

Both games are examples of sloppy, undisciplined play under Les and Les coaching not to lose once he had a lead. As the years progressed, these 2 things became his hallmark. But gotta hand it to him, he still went on to win a lot more games in this fashion. Just wasn’t always fun to watch because you always knew almost every game, regardless of opponent, was going to come down to final 3 minutes.

the funny thing was we beat the absolute frick outta UK in 2006. just obliterated em. JR was damn near perfect then Flynn got in and actually got in some good throws too.

Some reasons for this. 2006 was 7pm night game in BR and 2007 was a 2:30 CBS game in Lexington. UK always plays us tough in Lexington. However, IMO, the biggest factor is that 2006 was only 2 years removed from Nick. Still residual effects from "The Process". By year 3, the sloppiness and lack of discipline from the "Players' coach" was beginning to show itself more. I know... dead horse but still doesn't make it inaccurate.
