pretty clear that's what UF wants
what is that? If we don't play the game this weekend, Florida loses money...so they definitely want to play it.

I'm just stunned this is playing out this way, even if the game is eventually played in FL on Sunday or Monday.

I'm not. Florida is only one rung below Alabama in the SEC pecking order. If the shoe was on the other foot LSU would be on a greyhound to Florida right now.

I honestly don't think so. I also want this game played. I don't care where other than at UF as of this moment. Could be anywhere. I'm good if the storm turns and doesn't cause anything in Gainsville so we can play, but tomorrow is too late to turn back and that's what bothers me.

UF wants the game moved a few days or an alternate weekend. I don't see how they possibly believe the game will be played Saturday but hey

That's the gamble UF is willing to take.

No. LSU has experience with major disasters. They know the stakes that transcend sports. For all our dissatisfaction about the way they have handled many things, I'm 100% confident LSU would take the right course if the situation were reversed.

well, the only alternate weekend that could possibly work is Nov 19, and that will still entail Florida losing money by cancelling the Presby game.

One thing is for certain. Either it's played in Gainesville or it's not played at all.

from google: Since 1851, the top three states for hurricane landfalls are Florida (114), Texas (63) and Louisiana (54)

i think they are little experienced themselves when it comes to storms.

they aren't acting like money is the motivating factor

Apparently they haven't learned much from the experience.

I don't know man. If LSU moved a pivotal SEC game to the Swamp because of an uncertain storm and Baton Rouge didn't lose so much as a tree limb, this place would melt like you've never seen before. Not to mention the hell the university would get from the boosters.

Now if they win that game then hey no harm no foul.

I think they are...they desperately want to play this game at home to not have to refund money. They know that Florida isn't likely winning the SEC East...

My guess is Sunday kickoff at noon.

Moscona said that F. King indicated that Sunday is not an option

What about Monday and LSU flies out Sunday? That's if there is major damage in GVille.

The major networks and NFL DO NOT want college games played on Sundays.
